Vehicle Detail

Hello and thank your for viewing this listing. Up for bid is The 1993 AHRMA national championship winning and Daytona 2nd place finishing CB350 K4 of Russell “Rusty” Foard. I acquired this special bike directly from Rusty in the spring of 2010. Prior to my acquisition this bike had been in retirement in Rusty’s garage for the last 16 years. While under my stewardship, this special bike has undergone a ground up reconditioning of the ENTIRE bike with a focus on restoring it into a push button, fully street legal, safe and daily rider while retaining as much of its race track heritage as practical. All safety features have been restored to as new condition including horn, turn signals, headlight, brake light, etc. The bike is presently in full road worthy condition with absolutely every component in perfect tune and fully functional condition. I have personally racked up about 1000 miles on this bike and can attest to its flawless function. Bike is currenly titIed, tagged and insured in Maryland. Below are the specs: 1972 Honda CB350K4 Chassis: 1972 CB350K4 frame and swingarm All brackets have been removed for the stock foot pegs, center stand, seat, helmet holder, etc. Kickstand bracket and rear gas tank bracket have been added Frame and all brackets have been stripped down to bare metal, primed and painted Front forks are from a Suzuki GS400 and have been disassembled cleaned, stripped, primed, painted and cleared with new seals and oil A custom machined-from-billet as-raced fork brace has been added Rear shocks are vintage aftermarket Racing shocks (believed to be Koni but not certain) Front wheel uses a custom vented Suzuki T500 oversized brake drum with Ferodo race compound shoe linings which have been race fitted (arced into the liners) Hub was stripped and painted with high temp caliper paint with new bearings and all pivot points properly greased. Hub is laced to an aluminum DID 18 x 2.15 rim with NOS OEM spokes. You won’t believe a drum brake can stop this well until you try it. It works better than disk brakes of the same era. Rear wheel is stock CB350; hub was stripped and painted with high temp caliper paint with new bearings and all pivot points properly greased. Hub is laced to an aluminum DID 18 x 2.15 rim with NOS OEM spokes. CL350K4 gas tank with rear mount fabricated to bolt down, doing away with the OEM rubber strap. Tank has just been professionally repainted and is perfect. petcock is rebuilt with all new seals and filters (main “on” position has had the tube removed for racing so there is no “reserve”) Tail section is a period race piece from First Klass Glass which has been left in “as raced” condition which shows some very nice light patina for authenticity. During storage, a tire was left on the seat for many years and has left an imprint from the lettering on the seat vinyl and slight indentation in the foam. It actually adds a nice patina and isn’t noticeable while riding. Side covers and front fender are custom race pieces from its track days which include the original AHRMA race stickers and match the patina of the tail section. Steering head bearings and swingarm bushings have been removed, cleaned, inspected, greased and reassembled Power Train: Stock CB350K3 motor 6,500 miles on stock (never been apart, never raced) CB350K3 motor with perfect compression 185 / 180 PSI I’ve put the last 1000 miles on this motor and it runs flawlessly Engine was stripped (while assembled), primed and painted with high temp engine Enamel, side covers were also clear coated with high temp clear coat. Valves & timing chain in perfect adjustment Carburetors are OEM CB350 Kehins which have been completely disassembled (including all needle jets, emulsion tubes, butterflies, etc,) dipped, primed and painted with enamel. All new OEM Honda rebuild kits, installed and tuned properly. New K&N filters installed (not cheep off brand pods) Custom as-raced open megaphone exhaust with minimal packing and removable 3” exhaust tips. Exhaust was stripped, primed and painted with 2000 degree exhaust paint. This is the as raced championship winning exhaust and as such has some dings here and there which add character and authenticity. This is a loud exhaust system which can be fitted with baffles to quiet down but you’ll have to make your own. All control cables have been cleaned, inspected and lubricated and work perfectly New 520 chain installed on new 520 race sprockets. Electric: Stock OEM Honda electrics in as – new condition New Battery Entire electric system (and I mean everything) has been completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected and reconditioned where necessary. Everything functions as new. Wiring harness was a low mile takeoff from 20 years ago which was stored properly and looks like a NOS piece Starter motor was disassembled cleaned inspected and reassembled Every connection has been cleaned, inspected and coated with dielectric grease All turn signals have been disassembled, cleaned inspected and reassembled with dielectric grease. Stop/Tail light is a new aftermarket LED devise properly fitted with OEM Honda style bullet connectors properly half barrel crimped into place Headlight is from a 1972 SL350K2 (which has a Metal shell and is smaller and more racy looking than the CB350 one) Horn, Stator, Regulator, Rectifier, Coils, ignition switch, handlebar switches, and turn signal relay are Stock OEM Honda CB350K4 parts that have been completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected, greased with dielectric grease and reassembled and all work as new. New plugs and Points installed and adjusted. Gauges are OEM Honda in very good condition with NOS Honda gauge rubbers and are from the same bike as the engine so Odometer mileage is correct to the engine. Controls: NOS Honda CB350K4 specific Dunstall NOS, just out of the box, period correct, Genuine, Made in England, Dunstall, clip-on’s and rearsets which were made in the 1970s specifically for the Honda CB350K4 OEM Honda hand controls with the wires properly routed through the Dunstall handlebars NOS OEM Honda grips Bike is being sold as is where is. Buyer is responsible for asking any questions PRIOR to placing a bid. I have perfect feedback on ebay and will do everything practicable to ensure buyer is satisfied. Bike may be viewed in Annapolis, Maryland prior to end of auction by appointment. Bike is also listed elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold locally. A $500 deposit via PayPal from the winning bidder is required within 48 hours of auction end with the balance due in cash within 7 days unless other arrangements are made and approved of by me.
