Offered for auction is a 1975 Triumph trident t160 750cc motorcycle. This motorcycle is in beuatiful condition! the chrome is very nice the seat is not torn everything looks great, there is no signs of it ever being dropped. no scratches or bends. the fuel tank was repainted and coated inside! This motorcycle has been parked inside a mans house for many years it was last ridden in 1996. he had parked it and went thorugh a terrible divorce the bike was not high on anyones priorities for all that time. My friend is a electrician and was hired to renovate the mans house during that time. Then the guy could not pay my friend, so after a very long time he finally asked if he would take the triumph as payment. the man said it was worth $7,000.00 My friend does not know that much about motorcycles and doesnt have an ebay account, so he then asked me to please try and sell it for him, He like most of us needs the money for all the materials he put inot the electric project he basically got screwed on. so here is is----- as far as I can see this bike never been crashed nor damaged. it looks outstanding! it hasnt run it many years but it really seems to me it will run just fine. it just needs to be freshened up, typical maintainence. battery, oil brake fluid fork oil plugs points, and it should go... there seems to be no issues other then it has been sitting. it is an as is sale and it is going to go well under market value... fair market value for this bike is between $6,000 and $11,000.00 it has period correct dunstall mufflers! buyer assumes all shipping arrangements and fees- pick up is perrferred, good luck - this is a triumph guys great find!!!!! On Feb-13-11 at 06:03:03 PST, seller added the following information: I am sorry everyone but looking at my details I missed something THE BIKE HAS 15,000+ miles I thought I typed 15k in the description. although there is a photo of the odometer, which still has the factory decal on it! there have been several questions- the motor turns over freely and seems to have good compression the brakes seem okay and the transmission shifts well statically. Not knowing anything for sure except the guy who surrendered it to my friend claimed it would cover his debt. It appears to be a sound machine a super deal for anyone who is really into triumphs and vintage stuff... it looks like a cherry of a bike,that was parked.
