Vehicle Detail

She's a Beauty! I'm selling this for a friend, I'm also a Motorcycle repair shop, as well as an enthusiast. This is a very nice collectors bike.It has had some slight resto work, would need very little to make her a 100 point. has a new seat cover, very nice but not original. some fasteners are not original. This thing starts first kick every time, but smokes to the high heavens. I'm sure it needs at least a set of rings. Cluch operates very nicely, doesn't seem to slip. Goes through all the gears good, although I did notice that, while sitting still, it doesn't want to downshift, without a little toe and heel action, you gotta lightly touch the heel, in order to toe down the gear. As long as the bike is still rolling and you downshift, you would never know it does this. I've talked to an old Honda mechanic buddy of mine, he said "don't do that"! Them old bikes were quirky that way.The wheels look original, straight and true. The front tire is a Bridgestone, not to bad, looks original to me. The rear is a Goodyear, worn and checked. Bars look straight, looks like the orig cables, grips, and levers, they work fine. The chain looks good, but I can't really see the sprockets, I will say though, it rolls very smoothly up on the center stand, like the sprockets are not hooked. The negatives are that: 1] rr shock body is rusty, not cleanable. 2] speedo glass is cracked and broken. 3] headlamp switch slider button is missing. 4] t/s switch missing the button, or is it? no signals, don't look as though it had them. 5] rear rim not so nice, acceptable. 6] carb seeps some gas, bowl gasket would fix it I think. 7] there might be a little duck tail piece missing on the bottom of the front fender? [back has one] This bike has the original keys, steering lock even still works. The tank is very nice, inside is fair to decent, doesn't appear to leak. Has some slight rust pitting around the right knee pad. This bike is not a 100 point museum piece, but i'll say its a 85+ and a good start. There is what appears to be a clear Ohio title, that the previous owner has signed off on. Shipping is a possibility, at the buyers expense, I understand its pretty easy these days. All sales are final, don't bid unless you are sure. Deposit of $100, non-refundable, required immediately upon auctions end, balance due within 5 business days, by certified check or money order, and we will wait for it to clear.
