Vehicle Detail

Good running and driving Corvair Corsa. I'm selling this for my Dad, so I'll try to describe it to the best of my ability. My Dad bought this to re-live his college days. He was going to use it as a daily driver, but, at his age, he's gotten soft and needs air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and an automatic transmission, all of which this car does not have. Anyway, He paid $3500 or so for it, and now, after spending about $3500 more, the car is how it was advertised when he bought it. Per the previous owner, the engine and tranny have been rebuilt at one point in time. My dad has rebuilt the 4 carbs, installed a new gas tank, new front wheel bearings, tires, exhaust and upholstered the driver's seat. He has only run premium fuel in it. The only things he says don't work are the clock, windshield washer system and the reverse lights, which need a switch. The brakes and clutch are great, no chattering. The 140 horsepower engine runs great, no smoke or weird noises. The tranny shifts fine. He repaired the sloppy linkage. He has the spare tire. The biggest downside is that the body and paint work is a 30 footer (from 30 feet away, it looks great). It's wavy and has small dings and scratches in the paint consistent with a driver quality car. It has been garaged most of it's life, but the back seat top is sun baked and has a tear in it. Overall, the car is very dependable and runs out fine. If you're looking for a show quality car, this probably isn't it, but if you want a car that you can drive in a local cruise and park in a parking lot without being paranoid about a $10,000 paint job, this is it. Obviously the car is sold as-is. I would encourage you to have a 3rd party look at it. I can show the car with a day or so notice. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. I can pick you up from the airport and you can drive it home. Please ask any questions you might have. I can also take pictures of anything you want. Feel free to email or call 541-531-9995. Thanks, JoshOn Feb-10-11 at 15:27:33 PST, seller added the following information: I added a picture of the rust. That's all I can see. Under the car is solid, the bottoms of the doors are solid, all pinch welds are solid. Now that the car has a bid, I'm not selling it locally anymore. Please bid if you'd like to buy it. I'll be out of town Friday to Sunday mid-afternoon. Please call me if you have any questions during that time. Thanks!
