Up for sale is my 1966 skylark convertible. The car has a 1971 Buick 350 that runs great and does not burn oil. The car has power drum brakes and power steering and also comes with a power disc brake conversion kit that fits the 14 inch Buick rally wheels. The kit is in the trunk, see pic;s. The interior is in great shape and only needs the bottom of the drivers bucket seat re covered. The original radio is in the trunk and there is an am-fm cassette deck in the dash. The top works perfect and is also in great shape. The paint and bodywork is very nice and quite straight, My guess is that the car has been repainted only once due to it being garaged most of its life. There is no rot on this car and I was led to believe that I am the 3rd owner. The car i registered, insured and inspected, it is totally roadworthy it rides real smooth and has only a slight exhaust leak on the drivers side, just a bad gasket. The exhaust appears to be recently installed and is not rusty. The system runs all the way out the tail with nice chrome tips. There is a front sway bar on the car and the font end bushings and ball joints etc are in good condition. The car does not even need an alignment. This car was very well taken care of and is a real adult owned car. I have been restoring cars for over 20 years and it was hard to find a car like this in the 80,s, Its a real surviver. The rims and tires are in great shape with no pitting in the chrome and the cars exhaust is quiet with nice low rumble, no complaints from the neighbors! The car is also equipped with an ignition module so there are no pesky antiquated points to replace. All the hoses ad belts are new and the part numbers are in the console. The doors hood and trunk all open and close very well and all of the weather stripping is very good. There is no rot under the doors and no bubbles or cracks in the paint. The trunk is solid and has the original mat and matching spare tire cover. There are extra headlight bezels and taillights and parts catalogs in the trunk. The interior is near mint and so is the top. The only thing this car needs is the disc brake kit installed, one center cap for the right front wheel, and the exhaust leak fixed. The trans shifts perfect and the suspension is has no issues. If your looking for a turn key classic convertible than look no further. If you have never ridden in one of these cars your in for a treat because this car is so smooth riding that everyone but the driver will fall asleep in it!On Feb-08-11 at 18:23:35 PST, seller added the following information: Here is another few cool things about this car. The dash is in mint shape and uncut. the radio thats in the car fit in the stock holes. All the dash lights work along with the heater and wipers. The windows roll up and down tight and do not rattle when rolled down. All interior lights work and are bright. There is a working tach and a temp gauge and a nice console with 2 cup holders. The bucket seats are correct and match the rest of the interior.
