It is an extremely capable and very reliable rig. I have been on many wheeling trips with it and it has never disappointed me. Mechanically this rig is about as close to perfect as you can get. Engine runs like a champ, transmission and t-case operate flawlessly, and AC even blows cold! All carpet has been removed and bed liner has been applied to the floor board. Interior is in great condition. All U-joints, control arms and ball joints are greased before each trip I’ve taken it on. I have a spare front drive shaft and a spare front 2wd axle that will go with it. The 2wd axle has the same drag links, knuckles, ect as the 4wd. This is an offroad ONLY Jeep. There are no sway bars on it, and the axles are locked, so you really can’t drive it on the road. The body has seen some “lovin” from the trails, so you will not win any beauty contests with this one. There are some dents and lots of “Texas pin stripping.” Major dents shown in pictures. Front and rear fenders have been cut for tire clearance. If you are looking for a Cherokee you can run around town in to go get groceries….this IS NOT for you. But if you are looking for a great rig to go wheeling in with your buds/family and still have room in the back for a cooler of beverages, this IS EXACTLY what you need!!! I have over $7k invested into this XJ. Every dollar spent was to improve its performance on the trail, not make it look pretty. This Jeep is ready to hit the trails as soon as you get it!
