Vehicle Detail
Wow! It isn't often that I indulge myself with the pleasure of owning this type of collector vehicle. My speciality is unrestored original Porsche's and Austin Healey's, so it takes alot to move me over to something like this. One look, and I knew I couldn't pass it up. Have a look at maybe the best unrestored original surviving Cougar in existance. I listed the exterior color as green, the actual paint code is 2047 and called Light Ivy Yellow, however appears a very light green to me, and to anyone else who views it. The original paint is stunning and could win in the survivor class of any major show. I just got it and I'm leaving it alone, for someone else to detail, or leave alone as well. It is all original, including body, paint, interior, chrome, and engine compartment. It has never been in an accident, and has never had any rust, and has never been repainted. The floors and underbody are rust free and untouched and still have the original paint as well. Even the original carpeting underneath the factory prancing Cougar mats, is like new. This was a special order car by its original owner who didn't want an XR-7, but wanted all of the options. It's a high optioned Cougar with factory AC, power steering, power brakes, and automatic transmission. The original matching number engine is a 351 Windsor with a four barrel carb and dual exhaust and disc brakes, and notice the optional Rim Blow horn steering wheel, remote mirror, and interior console. It runs and drives as good as it looks and has only had two owners, the first one for 15 years, and the second one for 26. Both kept it garaged and never drove it in foul weather, and as you can see, it's a black plate California car, currently registered, and the title is pink. The cost of restoring an average one is far greater than what I'm looking for, and since I'm not really sure of its actual value, I'm going to make this a no reserve auction to give everyone a chance to own this special car. Remember, they're only original once, and if you're looking for a Cougar that looks and feels like a two year old car, here's your chance. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, SO BID TO WIN !
