You are looking at a 2000 Honda Insight Hybrid. It has 140,XXX miles currently. I have known all the previous owner of this car and they all took excellent care of the vehicle. The car has an astounding lifetime MPG average of 54.5. The car usually gets between 60 and 80 MPG at highway speeds. The car has upgraded Honda OEM stereo with CD, FM, AM. The car has a 5-speed manual transmission. Feel free to come take a look. Currently car is driving running and driving fine. Car had oil changes every 3000 miles with mobile 1 fully synthetic 0W-20 oil The brakes are in good condition. Tires are in great condition 85% tread life left I had them put on last year. Currently installed are snow tires that are also in great condition. Body has some scratches and bumps from normal use. Interior is also in normal condition for its age. Every electrical connivance works in the car: power windows, clement control, power mirrors, stereo. Reason for selling is due to some mechanical issues that have arisen this past month. First is the fact that I was driving it and the IMA and Check engine light came on while driving and the car’s electric assist and battery regeneration stopped working. The car started making a noise that sounded like it was coming from the transmission at the same time leading me to believe that the problems were connected. The car still drives fine in without the help of the hybrid system. I could be a hybrid battery problem but I am inclined to doubt that because the Hybrid battery was fully charged when the problem accrued and remained so as I continued driving. The noise in the transmission becomes almost nonexistent when the clutch is fully depressed. If it is any help the check engine light is related to the following codes: p1457,p 1449 and p1542. Now the IMA battery is charging up fine and the assist is working as perfectly. The IMA light is off as is the Check engine light although for how long I don’t know. The engine is still making the rattling from the trans but still drives and shifts fine. One other issue I forgot to mention in the last posting was that if you sift into 2nd gear when driving 25MPH or faster the car makes a slight grinding noise. It has been doing this for the past four years and has not gotten any worse over the last 40,000 miles. Also there is a 3 inch mark on the headliner over the driver’s seat. The car has never been smoked in. It has rubber mats. Also the glove box latch need two screws to hold on the handle/locking mechanism.
