Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a 1965 Volvo P1800S and a 18'6" Bri-Mar trailer. This is the Roger Moore "Saint" style car. Car is in rough but restorative condition. Comes with 2 Engines, 2 transmissions, electronic overdrive and many parts. Dual SU updraft carbs. Body shows some surface rust but mostly cosmetic. some small rust holes in fender and left rocker area, nothing major. Has been a project waiting my time for 20 years and I just cannot get to it to do her justice. This is a timeless classic by Volvo from when cars were cars and had style. Prior to the boxy years and when Volvo ventured into sports cars, this was the result. This can and should be a beautiful car again. Mileage unknown (car is now in VA with dad, guessed 100k for eBay listing) Trailer is an 18'6" Bri-Mar trailer with dual axles and electronic brakes. Trailer also has 110V electronic winch mounted on front to ease loading. Car and trailer come together as package, will consider selling car only if you have your own trailer. Will not sell trailer by itself unless car has been sold. Trailer is worth starting price alone. Last 2 pictures are what she can look like when completed and are not to be confused with what she looks like now. Clear titles on both vehicles, located in Spotsylvania, VA I am listing this for my father, questions can be asked by reaching Jay @ 540-854-5215 or me (John) at 321-243-8119 Cash or cashier check accepted. Delivery within reason can be arranged for small fee. On Feb-02-11 at 15:44:35 PST, seller added the following information: Must add, car is not running at this time, engine needs total rebuild On Feb-05-11 at 15:32:21 PST, seller added the following information: The mileage is 53761. If anyone should ask why it sat so long tell them that a U joint failed and cracked the bell housing. I was in the Navy and didn't have time to repair at the time. Since then, we have found another bell housing and that will go with the car. It sat for so long that it became a very low priority. The data plate from the winch is gone. All I can say is it a Dayton brand. Delivery fees would be $.50/mile up to 500 miles. On Feb-07-11 at 14:20:03 PST, seller added the following information: In answering some questions I have more info to add. This is a project car and not to be mistaken for something you can tinker with for a few hours and have drivable. If you don't know what is involved with a classic restoration, this may not be for you. Interior: door skins are not present, seats are structurally good however the leather will need to be replaced as it is original. Carpet will need new carpet set. No this particular one does not have air conditioning. The tires hold air for pushing around but do show signs of dry rot. They are over 30 years old! Engines: This is a project car and is not running. The engine ran when parked in the mid 70's but has not run since. Engine will need total tear down and rebuild. Delivery: Preference will be you come get it however for $.50/mile 1 way up to 500 miles it can be delivered. Anything more will require you to pay for reasonable hotel accommodations (National name brand hotel, no flea dives) and mileage fee to be determined. This is an auction for a car and trailer, not for a delivery service. Payment: $ or cashier check is expected at time of delivery within 1 to 2 weeks of auction end. I have always wanted to restore this car but have never had the time to do it correctly. It does sadden me to sell her but she deserves better than I can give her now. Once restored this is a real head turner and timeless classic with style. Not to mention I'll be jealous of you driving around in this car.
