Vehicle Detail
2000 Dodge Caravan minivan. VIN #2B4GP45ROYR655587. Current mileage is 236,905 miles. This van was used in a school bus fleet by a national bus operator. It is fresh out of service and made its last run on 12/17/10. It was retired for the end of the 2010 year. The van has been professionally driven and maintained. Make no mistake - this van is not pretty or new, but it is a running and driving vehicle that will likely be sold for a small amount of money. This van is equipped with air conditioning, dual front airbags, cruise control, power windows, power door locks and an AM/FM stereo cassette. It is equipped with a 3.3-liter V-6 engine and an automatic transmission. This van is medium blue/green with a gray cloth interior. This van starts right up and idles well. The service engine soon light is on and a scan tool shows that it is being caused by a P1776 and P1495 trouble code. Those codes are for a “leak detection pump solenoid circuit” and a “Solenoid switch valve latched in the LR position.” There also sounds like there is a slight tick in the engine, but it revs strong at all RPMs. Although the van still appears to run and drive with these defects, they might need to be corrected before getting an inspection sticker in your state. In some states, a check engine light is cause to fail a state inspection. There is a significant amount of body rust and rot on this van. This is especially bad around the rear quarter panel area and the hood. There is also some rust and rot around the front strut towers. There is a small dent in the right front door. The tires are in good condition. The unit ID numbers on the body have been spray painted over after the van went out of service. Again, this van isn’t pretty – but it runs and drives. It could also use a good cleaning. Since the vehicle is not registered, I could not operate it on a public road. It was driven around the bus yard and drove well at low speeds. The brakes feel good and the transmission appears to shift in and out of gear as it should. The parking brake works. This vehicle would be available for pick-up in Syracuse, New York. The title will be released to the winning bidder once full payment is received and then the vehicle can be picked up during the normal business hours of the school bus company (pick-up might not be available on weekends or during school vacations or holidays). Advance notice of pick-up is required to make sure that the vehicle is not snowed in. There is no reserve on this auction and the highest price will own it. If you have different needs for a school bus, please let us know as we have other buses up for auction or that we are brokering all across the country that we could list on eBay by request. Please e-mail us any questions. A deposit of $200 is due within 72 hours and full payment is required within seven days unless prior arrangements are made. If full payment is not received within that timeframe, your deposit will be forfitted to pay towards our eBay fees and costs to list this item. Note - The eBay system lists this van as having a power seat. That is not correct. It does not have a power seat.
