Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1964 Corvette Coupe Project Car. This car was just pulled from a garage after sitting for 25 years. Original color is Tuxedo Black with Black interior. She comes with the 300 HP 327 with the powerglide and many other options listed below!!!! She still retains most of her original equipment. She even has the original jack, wheels and hubcaps. She has her original motor. Odometer show 73,109 miles. She still retains her original VIN Tag and Trim Tag. She was born on January 25, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri. Great candidate for a full restoration, resto-rod or race car!!!! This car was born with the following Factory Options: C60 Factory A/C N40 Power Steering J50 Power Brakes A31 Power Windows M35 Powerglide Transmission U69 AM-FM Radio L75 327 300HP A01 Tinted Glass Trim Tag Data: Trim STD Body S4098 Paint 900 AA Engine Code is 41097xx F0IIISL which translates to January 11 327 300HP AFB A/C & Powerglide The bad news is that she has been sitting for so long. Engine is stuck and she has no brakes. She does row. Rust is a big issue in the engine compartment. I have never seen an engine this rusty. I hope the original engine can be saved. I have checked the frame and although there is a lot of crusty rust on the frame, it does appear to be solid. I have not found any rust holes or rot in the frame. I see no issues with the bird cage. Previous owner had started stripping the paint. She still retains all her original fiberglass panels with bonding strips. Doors shut smoothly and very good gaps around doors. There are a few places on the body that will require some repair due to being bumped while in storage. Windshield has a crack but remainder of the glass is good. Stainless all in good shape and there. Automatic shifter is rusted so will not come out of park. I have disconnected the linkage and manually put in neutral so I can roll her around. She is also missing the ignition key , rocker panels, and spare tire. The interior is all there and untouched. She still has her original gauges, clock, radio, factory air components, steering wheel, door panels. Will definitely need an interior kit. Please be aware that this is a big restoration project and a lot of the original parts will still need to be replaced due to rust or moisture damage. I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking this is an easy restoration. Clear Illinois Title in my name. I encourage all possible buyers to come and inspect the car or have somebody local to look at her for you. The car is being sold AS-IS!!!! If you are going to have the car transported, be sure and tell transporter that car has no brakes and does not run. I will help at my end as much as possible.
