You are bidding on a REAL numbers matching 1965 Buick Skylark GS. The V8 401 is original and runs strong. This is an extremely rare car with a factory 4 speed manual transmission and A/C. The A/C needs some going over and a missing compression tank. All other lines, main Frigidaire generator and pulleys are present. The transmission is original but shifter has been changed to a Hurst. It actually feels better than the original but for the purist could be changed out easily. It has all the standard equipment that comes along with a GS model. Heavy suspension, brakes, and dual exhaust. It also has the coveted original Buick Tachometer in the center console along with the 4 speed shifter. Look at the pictures and you will also notice the finned aluminum Buick valve covers. Factory Buick wheels with the correct "large bird" center caps. It has original style T3 headlights for all 4 lights. This vehicle is not perfect and could use some body work and paint if you are looking for a number one show car. The rear quarter panels could use some reworking. If you are looking for a vehicle to drive into town, do local shows and have something rare and fun to work on this is it. Motor runs strong and will put your butt in the seat when you put your foot into it. Vehicle currently needs master cylinder and an all around replacement of typical hoses and belts. Everything works and runs well. If I wanted to drive into town right now I would replace all these items as a precaution. Kids and other obligations have distracted me from fully restoring this fabulous car. I have driven around the yard and kept it running for years. I have lost the place where I stored the car and am looking to move this car to a good home. I don't want to sell and don't need the money to survive. Please don't try and talk me out of the reserve. Excuse the mess in the trunk, you will see the spare and extra parts I have collected over the years. I also have another rim and rear bumper. There is some surface rust on the inside of the trunk BUT NO HOLES. Front dash pad, headliner, and dash are in great shape. The front bucket seats are in good condition with the exception of driver's seat when tilted forward has a friendly mouse hole in it. The rear seat looks like it was originally red and is bleeding through the black. I will answer all questions and concerns accordingly.
