1996 Chevrolet SS in Dark Gray Green Metallic for sale by the original owner. This completely genuine, stock car was built September 8, 1995 at the GM plant in Arlington Texas - less than 20 miles from where this car has lived since being purchased on September 20, 1995 by my Dad at James Wood Chev-Cad-Olds in Denton, Texas.Car is equipped like all WX3's and also has the optional CD player and power passenger seat. Car has never been modified in any way - chip, exhaust, intake, are all OEM. Car has always been adult owned and driven, never been smoked in, is completely rust free and has not been involved in any accidents. Recent work on this car in the last four months includes new headliner, package tray, front driver's side window motor, lower seat covers, radiator, belt and GM tensioner, new A/C compressor, accumulator/dryer assy and system charge, new oil cooler lines, new inner & outer tie rods, center link, adjusting sleeves, idler arm and alignment. Front end bushings are in excellent condition. This car drives straight with no pulls or other issues. Engine has never been into at all - the only work done since new is plug change, wire change, opti cap replacement and two water pump replacements. Starts perfectly and runs strong with no oil consumption. Transmission shifts well and firm, and brakes are excellent. This car has no leaks of any sort and has the correct 255/50/17 tires with about 30% tread left on them. Everything - repeat everything works on this car - power antenna, odometer, A/C, all power windows have replaced all track bushings to improved design, trunk, underhood, and courtesy lights, factory radio - even the CD player works. Car also includes coin holder, original wheel lock key and has complete original documentation including owner's manual, window sticker, dealer tag, dealer inspection form, warranty info, roadside assistance cards mounted on the accompanying letter, tire warranty info, etc.... The paint condtion would be about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 (High). Has some fading in places (mostly on the roof) a couple of driver's side door dings and chips, has been touched up and spot painted, but still presents very well from anyting more than 5 feet away. Car also needs a new dash pad - is currently covered by a custom dash mat, and the pass key fault light is on. I refurbed this car for my Dad hoping for him to keep it, but he does not have the space to store it. As a bonus, if the winning bid reaches 8000.00, the car will include a virtually new (used only once) custom car cover, and a set of 4 of the original B.F Goodrich 255/50/17 ZR4 tires than came on the car OEM. Discontinued in 1999, they have about 30% tread life left and are extremely hard to find - will make for a 100% correct original car in the future. Please contact me with any questions.
