This is a 1972 Ford F-250 Super Custom with a 429 motor. A great fun truck perfect for restoration or for projects or fun. Nice big bed fits a full 4'X8' sheet of whatever. The Block is marked D0VE-A. The Heads are marked D0VE-C. The Intake Manifold says Edelbrock Performer 460. I did my best to photograph them. The motor runs strong, however, I purchased this truck from someone who bought it at a state auction after it had been impounded so I don't know a lot about the history of the motor or the truck. It can be a bit tricky to start and might need a new carburator or work there. I would not consider this a daily driver and I feel this is better for a mechanic or enthusiast. I have had it for about a year and a half and drive it occasionally but my wife says it's time to go! It starts and runs but needs lots of little things. The cooling system has recently been gone through by a mechanic and the radiator boiled etc. I've had the oil pump replaces as well as the distributor, spark plugs and wires. Also had the valves adusted, new gaskets, new intake manifold gasket. Battery is a year old. (I replaced.) It has dual tanks with locking doors. The driver side tank leaks, but I have been running with that one empty and just using the passenger side tank. The body is pretty straight except for some dents and dings (see pictures.) Interior is in fairly good shape but showing age. Dash has a split. On the steering wheel, the plastic piece that holds the horn wires shattered. The horn is disconnected at the moment (from the steering wheel side.) Just for the record, selling this truck AS IS. While the mileage reads 60709, I am almost certain that is not the original mileage. Also, the truck is registered until October 2011 and I have the title.
