Here is a MINT restored 1971 Honda Z50A-K2 I completed about 10 years ago and has had a home in my dining room ever since. Frame number Z50A-K2-352160 and engine number Z50AE-332732. This bike has never been ridden since the restoration. The list of New Old Stock parts that went into the build was extensive! The bike was a super low hour machine when I bought it, meaning no wobbled out head tube, broken or bent steering stop, broken taillight mount, hillbilly welding repairs, or any chain rash on the frame! The head tube ID tag is perfect! The frame and forks were stripped and professionally painted the correct Mexican Yellow color. The NOS fuel tank, NOS gray primered headlight bucket, and NOS primered muffler guard were also painted the correct colors. It took many years of scrounging and waiting for auctions to end on eBay (in the days before bid sniping apps) to purchase only the best NOS parts for this bike. I’ve seen a lot of sellers call NEW Honda parts NOS Honda parts, when in reality they are the latest production parts available from Honda today. The foot peg assembly, rubber HM foot pegs, lower fork legs, headlight assembly, headlight emblem, hi-beam light assembly, wiring harness, ignition coil, ignition switch (with 4 keys), stator assembly and flywheel, taillight bracket, HM taillight assembly, correct rolled lip front fender (not the early one that would ding easily!), correct super rare long rear fender, kick starter lever, gear selector lever, complete exhaust system (shields included), rear foot brake lever, correct K2 fuel cap, fuel tank emblems, handlebar holder, nuts, TSK brake and throttle cables, brake hardware, rear hub assembly, carburetor, air cleaner assembly, chain guard, rear sprocket, AND the icing on the cake, a super rare one year only K2 seat with black heavy foam and perfect grain pattern and split seam logo, not the latest semi-pebble grain that everybody else passes off as NOS (still soft and pliable after 39 years) were all taken out of their original Honda New Old Stock packaging for assembly on this bike!! The handlebars, grips, throttle parts, wheel halves and Bridgestone tires are NEW Honda issue parts. The bike originally had Nitto tires on it, but I reluctantly sold these to a friend….before I realized how rare they were! The tubes are the MINT originals with the 2 brass nuts (these are impossible to find today!!) All of the other nuts and bolts and misc. hardware were all gray nickel plated…for a better than new look! The engine has all brand new and NOS parts to complete it too. Notice I don’t have any K1 parts on this bike..it’s 100% K2. I have the original sales invoice, statement of origin, warranty tag and owner’s manual. I have had great success using reputable people on uShip for transporting the bike, or I would consider tearing it apart to ship it and put it in multiple boxes for FedEx or UPS.
