Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1998 Dodge Durango SLT 5.2L V8 4x4. The truck has a little over 183000 miles on it. I just replaced the fuel pump on it within the last two months. I do not hesitate to jump in and go anywhere with this vehicle. The 4 x 4 works well, i haven't had any problems with it and I have been using it alot lately due to the snow. Engine starts and runs strong. All electronics appear to work like they should. The durango has power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power drivers seat, fog lights, overhead computer console, 4x4, leather seats, stock infinity sound system, newer tires, fog lights and more. I just did an oil change within last 500 miles using Castrol GTX high mileage oil. Also at same time I changed flid in rear end. New windshield wipers and air filter also installed at that time. Now on to the "bad" things about the vehicle. This vehicle is 12+ years old so it has the normal wear and tear that is associated with a vehicle of this age and mileage. It has always started up for me, sometimes it cranks for 2-3 seconds but most time starts right away. I don't consider this a problem, but want to inform of anything I can think of to assist you with purchasing the truck. You have a little play in the seat track and the steering. There is some areas of rust on the body of the vehicle. I have included photosgraphs of rusty areas to show what kind of areas we are talking about. There is some small minor surface rust spost on front bumper (can take close up phots if you wish, please let me know). There is a tear in the drivers seat bottom coushin at the seam. This is from normal wear and tear and could easily be covered up with a seat cover or a replacement seat coushin could be purchase an installed, just not that big of a deal to me so I haven't worried about it. It is missing a V8 magnum name plate from the front drivers side fender. These can be purchased for a few dollars on ebay. I just never got around to ordering one yet. When you turn the key over prior to starting of the durango, you hear the ABS module unde the hood make a buzz type of sound when system is powering up. I have been told that the system may just need to be bled, but have not done anything with it as the brakes appeat to work fine on the truck for as long as I have driven it and no I haven't had any problems with the antilock brake system or brakes. Also, when driving you can hear a humming sound comming from the rear of the vehicle. I have had it checked out and have been told that they could not find anything wrong. This does not seem to affect the way it drives, still doesn't make me think twice about jumping in and going anywhere. This may be nothing, but I am trying to advise of everything I can think of as you are buying vehicle online. Last thing I can think of is the washer fluid resivoir under the hood can not be filled up completely, I believe it has a crack or something in it. If you fill it up completely, it will just leak out. Local junk yard has them for less then $10, but it holds enough fluid for me so I just never got around to changing it and don't really want to in the winter, I dont have a heated garage to work in so a little cold if I don't have to. If you have any questions or concerns about the vehicle, please feel free to ask. Also, if you would like to have the vehicle checked out by a mechanic, I would be glad to take it there for you. You would be responsible for the choice of mechanic and cost of inspection. I am trying to include everything possible I can think of about the vehicle to try and assist you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I will also be posting a video to youtube that you can view showing the vehicle starting up and basic functions working. Please feel free to take a look and let me know if you would like any additional information or photographs. Thank You for looking and have a great day.
