Ok this is a super clean original iroc z28 stratight from the Awesome 80s. I have owned probally 20 irocs and trans ams from the mid 0s to the early 90s and many have been convertibles, but by miles this car is the cleanest, most rust free, best running car i have owned . This is a real head turner and has been babied and garaged for more than most of its life , but has also been enjoyed as it was designed to do . I have seen these acars on ebay and Hemmings with under 3000 miles but those are super nice but have no personality . I honestly cant say enough positive comments on this car . I will describe this car in very detailed ways but im sure ill forget to include all i would like to say . so please feel free to ask any question you may have , i norminally dont post questions but i think this is a good car to post questions and answers. I would first like to say please dont insult yourself with low ball offers, I understand cash is tight and if your in that situation this may not be the correct car for you in this time of your life. I have a choice in where i sell this car and if i choose to or not to sell this car at all . I have been asked to participated in the Mecum auction in Orlando this month , and also the Barrett Jackson sale in west palm beach in a couple months . I submitted a description and photos and both auctions felt the car would complement the sale and would meet the reserve i feel is fair. The story of this car is this , car was bought ordered by a retired couple cared for and garaged all its life , until grandpa passed away and for the burial the car was in the garage and the niece asked grandma what was goingto happen to the car and she gave itt o niece since it reminded her too much of her recienty passed husband of many years , so she gave itto the niece and they drove it home to Florida , where it was barely driven and i finally convinced the niece to part with the car so she could but a motorcycle she and husband were dreaming of and i just removed the iroc mud flaps grandpa insalled when the car was newthe other day . To the car this car has Never been in ANY kind of accident, the body still includes the VIN stickers in all the proper areas and i am informed on the past owner of the history of this car . This car was bought new by a retired couple in Chiciagoand was never driven in snow rain nor any type of poor conditions, The car was garaged from day on and it shows thru on this 22 year old classic. The original owner ordered the car from GM with every option except the leather seats and thats a good idea all these years later . The car was ordered in triple black with the eletric blue thin blue line at the base of the car. The options list cane be verified by decoding the VIN with GM or some of the Iroc web sites which are very complete in there infomation . I will list some of them for the people who dont feel like decoding the rpo codes . he car has full power windows , power locks, tilt steering, power antenna, cruise control that works , power drivers seat,original eq cassette full logic radio, Deluxe seats with adjustable headrests, split rear seats, The dash pad has NO cracks whats so ever , This car has the 110 mph speedo, fog lighs that work,Ultimate Viper remote pager alarm with 2 sets of keys and 3 remotes for the keyless entry 2 of the remotes are the lcd remotes that cost around 100 each, This is a NON smoking car with NO burn marks or typical wear spots on the seats . The trunk has the motorized trunk pulldown and it works, original special rear trunk spoiler only for the convertibles. the carpet is in outstanding condition there is no sun fading . The motor is a 305 HO TPI motor thats runs super no leaks and is completely original and shows not a screw was altered from the time it left GM 2 decades ago. the trans is the 700 auto trans and shifts perfect , no leaks andis also original , the rear axle is a Posi from the factory and the ebrake even still works just like it did when new, The wheels have factory locks under the dust cover and the key is included , The car is equiped with air condition and it works perfect, blows hard and also the heats works , the defrost and bi level also work as they should, even the ash tray still has the spring to hold the lid from bouncing aroundalso the console lid has its spring in place and working well. I remember these cars a couples years old and those 2 items were always broken but not on this car they work. Outside Im a Florida guy and has owned many cars , this cars undercarrage is completely rust free, i mean nothing under thcar it is amazing every bolt shows no sign of corrosion and not sign of rust in the normal areas like under the back seat passengers seat cusions and to boot NO bumps or scuffs on the frame bracing they look new , The under hood is not been cleaned and detailed this is origina condition emissions wires everything is GM original . The body is ultra straight and the car is black no door dings and this is to address the issue this car DOESNT have the door sag issue , these doors are not been adjusted the close perfect no scuffing sage nothing they just close , the windows have NOt been tinted and still have the anti theft stickers in place and the windows are tight in the frames no movement , the power door locks are strong and the windows roll up and down at almost the exact same speed and there better than average speed , The side and trunk spoiler are not loose at all the rubbers on this car are fine and do not need to be replaced , it keeps getting better with this car since just about every part is no longer made and difficult to find , so its a better idea to find a clean complete car rather than to think your bee building a better car. The front spoiler chin is a common issue they scrub the first and every time you hit a dip and create a rub hole, This car doesnt even haveits first scuffin the chin no stress cracks its like a time machine its has advoided the normal issues only to be presented for the right new buyer , Car starts perfect and doesnt leak anything , no overheating dual fans that work , no underhood wiring done smog system hooked up and original , The tires are ZR rated tires and are like new , ride new smooth but have a bit of dry tiny cracks from sitting for so long. the tires are Fusion brand and are245 50 16 ZR . i was on the express way driving last night and looked down and was at 105 with no vibration , efffortlessly, the steering is quiet and tight no knocks and handles like when new , The ac compressor is quiet and no leaks, the alt is a reman from Napa with sticker in place , the batter is a Sears die hard from 2009 . Please remember all original hoses and wires are orininal and in the correct plece , this motor trans and rear have not been altered at all . The top has been replaced a year ago with a Robbins top in canvas the best on the market and it shows. the car did get a single ultra high dollar coat of oem base coat clear coat paint since Florida is rough on the dark colors . the work is a 9.5 out of 10 high gloss and the original stickers were masked and saved in there original spots , all emplems and badges are in the correct space and in pristine condition . The rims have NO crub rash or discolorations center caps in place and look superior, the wheels are the rare wheels used only for i beleive 2 years and are the 16 inch version . clear on the rims is OEM fresh never damaged . The steering wheel is not wornthru leather like the 99.9 others and also the shift knob is a surivor as well the actual steering wheel is fine the leather is not loose but has minor wear since the car doest have 73000 miles . Honestly words are a waste of time since you and every person who is into these cars has been ultra impressed when i pull up and cant stop talking about the car .. There is a half dime size area of bubble rust in the center of the hood under the louverone side only and on the passengers side right before the door on the fender there is a nickkel size spot of rust right at the blue lower line decal . and the last thing in total that is not perfect is the auto antenna is not working , it doesnet even make noise si it may be a fuse or worst case it could be a bad antenna. but otherwise i m sure the pros completely outweight the cons in this case by far. I really like to drive this car and was in the process of building a green with tan top 92 z28 so if i sell this ill finish the 92 if not ill sell the 92 nd keep this car . I will insist the auction either run its course or if a offer is made the moeny must be completed before i remove the auction thru ebay , I also will not take full paymnet on this car thru paypal there fees are silly and if your a real buyer you will understand , i will accept the payment with the condition that you pay 100% of the paypl fees on top of the cost of the auction . I will be more than happy to have anyone you think is qualified to inspecthis car , but no test drives from people who are just just wasting my time . You are welcome to bring your favorite mechanic or contact a local shop or dealer to inspect at your cost , and i encourage this before bidding . These is an outstanding example of what these cars are and this body especally an ASC car is the collectable of the future. i forgot to metion the top mecanism and roof structure is never damaged fixed or painted except for when new . Please ask lots of questions and serious buyers i can promise you finding this car is a super rare experence it is still fun to drive and bring back memories without any of the parts hunting olnly to drive your project and realize its not the same as a factory built car Thanks for the attention , you wont be disappointed this is the one to buy .
