Vehicle Detail

Really sweet 1971 AUTO STICK Volkswagon Super Beetle...easy to drive, no clutch! Ready to be your daily driver. Super SMOOTH ride. Excellent gas mileage. We get about 29 miles per gallon. Bright sunshine yellow. All original except for a professional exterior paint job. The exterior paint is brighter than the inside original yellow. Looks shiny and new. A very beautiful car...No body rust. Original VW rims. One woman owned this car from 1971 until 2009. I have original book and papers left from the original owner. The car was sold to a neighbor after she passed, he bought it for his teenage daughter but she did not want to even drive it, so he kept it in his garage until I purchased it. I had it shipped to Texas from Washington. We have kept it in a garage until 2011 and we are now using it as a daily driver around town. Current inspection and regsitration. Clear title. Approx 97,000 original miles. Included are some very old and original (not the repros you buy online) thick rubber beetle bug front floor mats (the mats are at least a decade older than the car) and a pair of authentic 71 classic car plates. Heater works great. Lots of trunk space under hood. Interior is completely original. All lights and blinkers work. All windows work. Headliner is in great shape, as well as the visors and rearview mirror. Tires in great shape, we replaced the battery about 6 months ago. The car does prefer premium gasoline, we found it runs the best with it but a little gas goes a LONG way! This beetle has a factory "space" for a radio, it is not a hole, it is an outlined space where one would go. That was obviously an option that the original owner just did not want to purchase. You can always add one if you prefer. Only issues are that the lining in the very back storage area under the back window needs to be stitched up a bit (I showed this picture #20) and there are some teeny rust sprinkles on the surface of the back bumper, it is more like specks sitting on the surface, not old pitting rust. May be able to remove with steel wool? I added a photo of that area as well. There is also one small straight 2" tear in the drivers seat and some wear to the inside bottom door area (see picture #21 for both). All of these are quite minor considering the age of the car, but worth mentioning. Please send me a message with any questions, and check out all the pictures and video! Thank you.
