Vehicle Detail
Up for auction I have a 1965 F100 Pickup truck for sale. It is a regular cab with a 252 Cubic Inch V-8 and a column-mounted manual transmission (3 spd). Truck was pulled from a yard by my neighbor from Oklahoma so the body is pretty solid. The bed floor is rusty because the truck had wood in the bed close to the cab. Rest of the bed floor has surface rust, but is sold. The frame is solid and the only other rust issue are the torque boxes under the cab have holes in them and the cab floor had some rust issue, which I have patched (see pics). I then painted the floor and gas tank with rustoleum. Rest of the the body panels are solid as is the inner fender aprons in the engine compartment. Engine runs good, but smokes. Doesn't knock though, and I replaced the valve seals. It still smokes, but I have only idled it for short periods and I believe it hasn't been allowed to get hot enough to burn off existing oil in the combustion chambers. I put a good used gas tank in and painted to match the interior floor with the same rustoleum. What it needs: Paint (hood, roof and some of the body have been sanded and primed where surface rust was present. I will update the pictures as soon as weather permits. There is a blockage somewhere in the gas line between the tank and fuel pump. You can run it from a bottle, so the pump is working. It needs an alternator, brakes and a battery to get it roadworthy. And of course you'll want decent tires for it when you are ready to drive it. All in all, not a bad truck. It is very solid and I have repainted the dash and inside of cab, so the interior is pretty nice now (see before and after pics). I two-toned the dash to turqoise and white and put a saddle blanket seat cover on. All of the eblem bezels are there as well as the body trim. It is defintiely a project, but I felt I was close to getting it roadworthy. But other priorities have moved to the front and I'm forced to sell it. Truck needs some stuff yet, but it is a cool old truck and needs not a whole lot to be roadworthy. Patch the bed floor, paint it and finish the mechanicals and you have a pretty nice restoration project for the money! $100 depost due withing 48 hours of auction close with full payment due within 7 days and pickup of truck preferably then also, but I will work with your shipping arrangements as best I can. Also, there is no title for the truck although I will provide the buyer with a bill of sale. Ok, now for the disclaimers: Any questions, or pic request please ask before bidding. Truck is As-is, Where-is. No warranties are expressed or implied. No foreign scammers with your international money schemes, I've seen them. Also emails asking me to take lower than starting bid will be ignored. Good luck bidding and thanks for looking!
