Up for auction is my 1986 diesel Isuzu Trooper with a 5 speed transmission, working 4x4, and 2 door body. I bought this Trooper from Springfield, OH in December and installed a new timing belt and front manual 4x4 hubs as the automatic hubs had failed. Drives really well, has the distinctive diesel sound, and since the body originally came from Wyoming it has minimal rust issues. Prior owner swapped the isuzu motor in as it was originally powered by a gas engine. The little Trooper starts up every cold morning with out the help of a block heater. This Isuzu auction will be run with no reserve, so the highest bidder will own it regardless of final price. I feel ebay auctions should always have a winning bidder and placing a reserve price on listings only takes away from the auction experience. I understand its unnerving buying a vehicle sight unseen on ebay so I request that the bidder ask any questions by email or phone. If you live close enough we can set up a time to look at the Trooper. A $200.00 refundable deposit on the Trooper is required within 24 hours of the auction closing to cover ebays high fees. If winning bidder wants to pick up the Isuzu within 24 hours the paypal deposit is not required. The deposit is non refundable if the winning bidder fails to pick up or at least pay in full by the required time set on this auction. I can not afford to store this Trooper while the winning bidder acquires the funds. If buyer decides not to purchase the vehicle I will keep $50.00 of the deposit to cover my ebay fees. I want make it clear that if you examine the Isuzu and find I have not listed it accurately I will not hold you to buying it and will still leave positive feedback on your account along with refunding your deposit. I am not using ebay to scam people out of money, its a great marketing tool to get my items to the most viewers. I know a lot of folks I sell to are concerned about potential scams regarding online transactions. Exterior: Body is in very good condition, for its age, rocker panels have rust holes on both sides. Paint is in good condition but clear coat on hood has seen better days. Tires have great tread, brand new manual lock out hubs installed on front axles. Has steel 6 lug wheels, spare tire on rear door. All glass is crack free except windshield, has working headlights and wiper blades. Drivetrain: This Trooper started off its life with a gas engine but has since been replaced with a Isuzu diesel engine. Motor will fire up on snowy days with help from the glow plugs. I have put a brand new timing belt on the truck. All 5 speeds shift correctly, 4x4 high and low work along with 2x4 high. The Trooper is underpowered for modern day traffic but will average decent mileage and can run on a variety of bio fuels. I have owned nearly 50 diesel vehicles and I know this motor is good. Interior: The front seats have covers on them. Headliner good, has rear seat that is basically clean. Has new floor mats. Has working heat, the truck has a/c but it does not work.
