Vehicle Detail

Fresh out of storage and ready to go! This rig is a great candidate for a restoration, although it's dependable and presentable enough to drive it as it is. It belongs to my cousin who has finally decided to sell it after 6 years and over $10,000 invested in fixing it up. The truck is from rust free Southern Oregon. It spent most of it's life in the hands of my neighbor who has 80+ acres of pear trees. He used the truck until the late '90's when he bought a newer diesel. It then sat for a few years until my cousin bought it. At that time, it was pretty rough cosmetically, although the 350 (balanced and blue printed) engine, manual 4 speed and transfer case had about 80K on them since they were rebuilt. Ken bought a parts truck and replaced the dented up fenders and bed from it. The interior was gutted, cleaned and painted. The floor pans are solid. Ken replaced almost all the rubber and cloth pieces in the interior. The seats and center console are out of a Starcraft conversion Suburban. The truck has a factory tilt column, a/c, throttle speed knob, tachometer and dual batteries. Everything works, right down to the license plate lights. The a/c was retrofitted to 134a a few years ago and still blows pretty cold. Here is a partial list of items Ken has installed: a new Crane cam and lifters (slight lobe and idle, sounds great), Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, a new steering gear, flowmaster 2 into 1 exhaust, bedliner, tool box, tires, shocks, glove box liner and an electric windshield washer system out of a Suburban. I have a stack of reciept for all the work and parts he has purchased for this truck. The tranny and clutch are perfect, no grinding or chattering, the brakes operate perfectly, no squeeling or pulsating, the 4wd works perfectly, the front end is a large hub Dana 44 with disc brakes, the rear end is ia Dana 60 with a factory trac-loc. Ken still has the original build sheet and owner's manual, which will be included with the truck. By the time Ken was ready to do the body and paint work, he was out of money, so he had an inexpensive paint job done just so it was all one color and presentable. There are no major dents in the body and the small ones were not repaired, just painted over. The truck is very photogenic, so the pictures don't really show the waves in the body. Again, there's no major damage, it just has a quick paint job to make it driveable and presentable. It's a 30 footer (from 30 feet away it looks excellent). It is by no means restored, but is a clean driver quality rig. Ken is a meticulous and detail oriented welder and fabricator, so everything is done as best possible. With all purchases like this, I encourage you to take a look at it or have a friend check it out for you. I'm happy to meet someone in person and coud possible arrange to take it to a shop for an inspection prior to purchasing. The truck is for sale locally for $7500, so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Overall, the truck looks sharp, fires right up and drives fine. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. You could fly in and drive this thing home. Right now it's stored in my barn and can sit here for a month or so if paid for and arrangements are made in advance. Please note the time that the auction is ending at. I fequently have people miss the last few minutes when they were wanting to bid and want me to list it again. Sorry, but once it's sold, it's sold. Please ask any questions you might have via email or call me @ 541-531-9995. I can send you pictures of anything you want to see, just ask. Thanks! On Jan-22-11 at 08:45:19 PST, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add a few things...The gear ratio is 4:11, so it pulls a trailer great, but gets 10 mpg up hill, down hill, loaded, empty, idling, etc. The rear end has a power loc, not a trac-loc. The heat & air system has all new duct work, so it diverts the air perfectly. I have a photo copy of the build sheet, not the actual sheet. Ken painted the glove box door, so it's not there anymore. The VIN on the copy clearly matches the VIN on the truck. The truck is equipped for dual batteries, but it has one battery in it now. It does have a tilt steering column and it's tight, not sloppy. Please ask me questions well before the auction ends. If you ask them in the last hour or so, I probably won't be by the computer. You can call, though. I usually have my phone on me. Thanks! Josh
