This car was purchased in 2000 from a gentleman in Houston who had done an extensive restoration. Major mechanical work at 71k miles included C2 cams, ring and valve job, ceramic coated pistons and heads, short shift kit, Weltmeister strut brace, a rebuilt transmission, and new torsion bars. In addition he did a major exterior and interior restoration. I purchased the car in 2000 with 78k miles on it. It now has less than 88k. It has been very well cared for. Always garaged. Frequent service. Never abused. I have continued to make improvements. It now has a B&B exhaust, upgraded stereo, new K27 turbo and a new AC compressor. Last year the engine was pulled as the old turbo was leaking. At that time a major service was performed ($7500). Leakdown: 3%, 6%, 5%, 6%, 3%, 6%. Cosmetically the car is very nice but not perfect. A few rock chips here and there. One gouge in the bumper (about 3 inches)-See picture. Midnight blue paint looks great. No rust. All rubber looks to be in great shape. Interior is tan with blue piping in excellent shape. Normal wear on the seats without any rips. Everything works. I have pretty much every receipt from me and the prior owner. This is a great car that I am selling because it isn’t getting enjoyed as it should. I have tried to represent it well. Inspections from serious buyers are encouraged as it is 23 yrs. Old. The car for sale locally. No reserve.
