'78 Lil' Red Express Dodge Truck I am presenting to everyone a Beautiful 1978 (not 1979) Lil' Red Express. I am not a dealer, this is my own personal truck. This is the perfect collector truck at a very affordable price. The truck is beautiful! Nice interior, good tires, correct wheels and fabulous wood. Everything is right under the hood. Engine is awsome clean as are the firewalls and fender wells. It has power steering, power brakes, original radio and loads of new parts. It runs perfect and drives like a Lil' Red should! No leaks or rust. T There is only a partial VIN number listed. It can not be looked up because if it's age but what is listed on here tells you it's a LIL' RED. This is a very solid truck front to back. This truck is for someone who wants quality for under $12,000 with "Buy It Now" There is no matching numbers on Lil Reds, no serial numbers ever are on the engine. The Lil' Red Express was not only a real looker but these trucks were also real performers also. In 1978 The Dodge Lil' Red Express was the fastest American made vehicle from 0 to 100 MPH as tested by Car and Driver magazine. Because of a loophole in the emissions regulations the 1978 Dodge Lil' Red Express Truck's did not have catalytic converters, what the Lil' Red Express did have was a special High Performance 360 C.I. 4-barrel small block engine code (EH1) which was a modified version of the 360 police engine (E58) producing 225 net horsepower @ 3800 RPM. The package also included Hemi style mufflers with a crossover pipe breathing through 2 chrome stacks located behind the cab, a special 727 transmission and 3.55:1 rear gearing.
