1971 Camaro - Great Project Starter - very clean - solid - straight - rust free I am the third owner of this 1971 Chevy Camaro. The car has previously sat in a garage, on blocks, in New York for at least 20 years in its current condition. I purchased the car a little over 3 years ago and it has sat in my garage since then. Although it has been stripped down, it is virtually all stock and un-modified. The few modifications that I can find are: Extended leaf spring shackles Electric fuel pump under car in front of fuel tank, very popular in 70's to use carter type electric fule pump for drag racing Aftermarket shifter This is an super solid car that will require NO patchwork or repairs to be ready for paint. Just a good sanding, prime and you're laying down color! Orignialy a non-AC car, the firewall remains uncut and in original condition. The factor wiring is still in tact in the car. The car comes with the original seats, door panels, and nearly all the original trim - in good shape along with an extra set of doors in good condition. The engine is the classic 350 with Turbo 400 transmission. I am farily certain it is NOT the original engine. (see photos for numbers) I purchased this car because this was my high school dream machine. The car was in such good shape I was going to use all bolt on parts to go pro touring. Due to a new business venture (opening the first Lucas Oil Center in Evansville, IN) I know I won't have the time, and I need the room. This creates a great opportunity for some other passionate camaro lover finsih this car.
