Red 1996 Ford E11-Series XLT Club Wagon (Van): The La Grange Illinois Fire Department is selling ONE vehicle: a red 1996 Ford E11-series XLT Club Wagon with the low mileage of 40,998 original miles. The La Grange Fire Department is the original owner of the vehicle and has used it over the years as an official fire department vehicle, usually transporting personnel or equipment to fire scenes. The vehicle has been EXTREMELY well-kept and in EXCELLENT condition. The vehicle is an 8-passenger van with a 5.8L EFI V8 engine and electronic 4-spd auto trans. Tire size P235/75RX15XL with a 138 inch wheel base in good condition and bright cast aluminum wheels. The vehicle has interval wipers, hinged side cargo doors, swing out side/fixed rear door, dual cloth captain's chairs (very small tear in driver's seat), air conditioning/heat with front and rear controls, AM/FM cassette radio, gauge package, power doors and locks, power steering and brakes, twin I-Beam independent front suspension, 35gal fuel tank, class I trailer tow package but no hitch installed, driver air bag, 4-wheel anti lock brake system, overdrive, and cruise control. The vehicle has a mounted spotlight on the driver's side (not functioning-may be disconnected or bad bulb). Again, the vehicle has two front captain's chairs with two large rear removable bench seats (all with seat belts). The vehicle has a new starter, newer battery, and has no known mechanical or other problems. A carpet protector was used over the years, so the vehicle's carpeting is in good condition. The vehicle originally had fire department decals on it, however, most were removed per Illinois law. A reflective white stripe remains with the number "1181." It can legally be driven with these remaining decals in Illinois-not sure about the laws in other states. The vehicle once had an overhead emergency light bar on the roof of the vehicle, which was removed. A few marks, scratches, and adhesive marks remain from the light bar. There is a very small scratch on the hood of the vehicle, very small and minor paint bubbling over the driver's door, and the rest of the vehicle shows normal wear-n-tear. The vehicle is surplus village equipment and MUST be disposed of according to Illinois law-it must be sold at an auction-style setting such as eBay and does not have a Buy-It-Now option. The vehicle is being sold AS Is and with no existing warranty. The winning bidder is responsible for the pick up of the vehicle or making arrangements with a shipping service. The emissions company made an error by adding the extra 100,000. The vehicle has 40,998 original miles ONLY.
