Vehicle Detail
For auction is this 1986 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty standard cab pickup 151,000 miles. This truck just pulled a 16 ft. enclosed trailer to Wyoming and back from Central Illinois fully loaded with absolutely no problems whatsoever. It runs great. It has a gooseneck setup with trailer brake controls. This truck is virtually rust free and very solid, with four nearly new tires. It has a 1 ton rear end as part of the tow package. I have a large stack of reciepts for new exhaust, brakes, all new engine seals, belts, hoses and many other replacement parts, all work done at reputable mechanics shops. There are a few needs this truck has, and they are: a new wiper motor ( they do not work), The radio does not work. It needs a minor repair to the steering column having to do with the way the key moves the rod in the column ( ignition switch ? ) It has a crack in the windshield that does not affect it's driveability. Other than those things, nothing major. The only body damage is pictured. We just had a nice long cold snap here , and after three weeks of not being started, it fired right up. It's just a real solid heavy duty pulling truck. If you aren't worried about the amount of fuel a 460 consumes, this truck will pull the big hills with a heavy load attached. I might not have mentioned that it also has a heavy duty Reese hitch and trailer electrical plugs in the side of the bed as well as the bumper, professionally installed. This truck has alot of hard work left to give and in the time I've owned it , it has given me no problems. I simply cannot afford to plate and insure more vehicles. I have too many. Most of the major issues that a truck of this age might have are really already dealt with, other than the ones mentioned, and they are minor in my opinion. I am trying to accurately describe this vehicle to the best of my ability, If you have any questions, or would like to view this vehicle, please call (309) 333-9681 or (309) 333- 4511 or send your question via Ebay.
