1969 Ford Mustang 351 Fastback VIN# 9T02H182xxx Description: Beautiful Black Jade 1969 Classic Ford 351 Mustang Fastback from Mustang Beginnings You are bidding on a Classic 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback. This Mustang is very complete, and the engine has been rebuilt, but the interior still needs to be restored. With just a bit more work, this car will easily be worth double whatever it sells for now. BODY: As you can see, all the body work and final Black Jade paint are beautifully done. We haven't added the body stripe kit as yet, and you might want to consider going with a Black Out Hood, like a Mach 1, or Grey Stripes like an Eleanor. We can finish the exterior on the car anyway you desire, and we will do so at no charge if you use the Buy It Now feature in this auction. Just let us know your preference. A few of the chrome pieces should be replaced, but nothing more is needed on the exterior of the car. The frame is solid. Floors are in excellent condition. Please see the pictures showing the car from underneath.There are a couple of spots on the floorpans that will need a patch. In addition the trunk support in front of the tailpanel will need a bit of work as well. We can do both at MustangBeginnings for $1,000 and we will include that repair at no cost, if you use the "Buy It Now" feature. DRIVE TRAIN: The original 351 Windsor 2 bbl engine has been rebuilt and runs great. Engine looks goods. Starts and drives as you can see from the U-Tube link below. A few Go Fast parts and this Mustang’s engine would deliver plenty of “under hood envy”. The car has a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive for good gas mileage, and it shifts well. The Mustang has good disk brakes up front and drum brakes in the back, plus GT Wheels, caps, rings and good tires. All glass is good, (bolt in door glass). INTERIOR: The interior will need to be restored. We can help you at MustangBeginnings if you need any assistance. We were planning to do that, but just ran out of time. If you are planning to do the work yourself, we will give you our discount on all the materials you will need including new door panels, carpet, upholstery, head liner, radio, etc. If you would like us to restore the interior to the color of your choice, add $2,000 to the final price. Instrument panel shows 2264 on the Odometer, not actual milage. GREAT PACKAGE: These Mustangs are only going to go up in price particularly if you spend a little time working on all the details. Good running, rust free, restored Mustang Fastbacks are very hard to find. The parts alone are worth $10,000 to $12,000. If you were starting from scratch, it would cost twice that amount to purchase the body, engine, transmission, etc. New 1969 Dynacorn fastback bodies are selling for $15,500 and you don't receive a 1969 title, a drive train, or any of the extras that this car has. We estimate that if you continue to work on the details, this Mustang will easily be worth a minimum of $30,000. Take a look at the Year One Mustang called "Blackened" for additional ideas - see pictures below. Year One sells a very unique interior package that would make this car look fantastic. The attachment holes for the Mustang Script in the fender, and the word Mustang spelled across the trunk lid have been filled in, but can be easily reopened if you want to reattach those identifying badges. If you decide to go wih the Year One "Blackened" design, you may not want the script, or the word Mustang, but you can still go either way. If you add a few of your own ideas, when you are finished, you will truly have a unique classic Mustang.
