Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1947 Willys/ Jeep CJ2-A with a 4 cylinder engine and manual transmission. I bought this Jeep back in October from a collector in Franklin, OH. I bought three CJ's from him and sold the other two for parts with intentions to get this one running. Its complete and the engine turns over. I installed new coolant lines and put coolant in the system. Attempted to start the Jeep, motor turns over fine and sounds to have good compression, but I am not getting spark. I was told this Jeep ran two years ago so my first guess is loose or corroded wiring, but I am not certain. Jeep has useable yard tires but I would definately replace them to drive on the road. If I were able to commit time to the Jeep I would be able to get it looking and running good in a week or less as its very small in size and the major things; axles, transmission, transfer case, engine, all act functional. I have a Clear Ohio title for the Willys. This Jeeps auction will be run with no reserve, so the highest bidder will own it regardless of final price. I feel ebay auctions should always have a winning bidder and placing a reserve price on listings only takes away from the auction experience. My zip code is 45248 and my cell phone is (419) 345-1856 if you have any questions. I understand its unnerving buying a vehicle sight unseen on ebay so I request that the bidder ask any questions by email or phone. If you live close enough we can set up a time to look at the Willys. A $200.00 refundable deposit on Jeep is required within 24 hours of the auction closing to cover ebays high fees. If winning bidder wants to pick up the Jeep within 24 hours the paypal deposit is not required. The deposit is non refundable if the winning bidder fails to pick up or at least pay in full by the required time set on this auction. I can not afford to store this CJ while the winning bidder acquires the funds. I want make it clear that if you examine the Jeep and find I have not listed it accurately I will not hold you to buying it and will still leave positive feedback on your account along with refunding your deposit. I am not using ebay to scam people out of money, its a great marketing tool to get my items to the most viewers. If your feedback is less than 10 positive I ask you to send me your full name and phone number through "contact seller" or I'll be forced to cancel you bid and block your name. I can help with shipping as long as the Jeep is paid for in full and we come to an agreed upon price to haul it to you. If you choose not to use paypal or are not familiar with how to please call me, 419 345 1856 so we can talk. I know a lot of folks I sell to are concerned about potential scams regarding online transactions. Exterior: The body is very rusty. I believe patching steel in would be the cheapest bet but I was told by several guys its easier to simply cut out the entire side skin as the body is flat. Frame is strong with only surface rust. Headlights do work, plow lights are missing both lenses and bulbs. Will need new windshield; flat glass, cut to fit, side windows go up and down. Tires are usable for off road but I believe are too old for street use. I have the components to make the plow operational meaning up down, left right, but have not tried the pump and cylinders out to see if they work. Jeep had an external fuel tank sitting in the bed when I bought it so I would assume the original tank under the drivers seat needs sealed. Drivetrain: As stated above, motor does turn over, but I was not able to get spark to the spark plugs. Battery shown in video is not included in sale, but I do have another battery that buyer can take. Transmission feels like it shifts all gears. Axles spin freely. Manual steering gearbox feels tight. Interior: The inside of the CJ is very basic. My plan involved shop vacuuming it out and rewiring to avoid simple electronic gremlins. I am 6'9" tall and can surprisingly sit in this Jeep with the door closed and half top on. Uncertain originality of seats and gauges but its basically complete. I know this Jeep is useable condition and would make a great January project. I know I have not described this Willys thoroughly but I do not have a lot of time on this project and I hope the photos and video speak louder than words. Thanks for reading my auction.
