Vehicle Detail
This is a very low mile and in very good condition 1977 Honda 550 4 cylinder Super Sport.I bought this from an old man that said he bought it from a bank where it had been a REPO when it was about one year old.He said he drove it for a short time but when he started having kids he left it sit in his shed for about twenty five years. That is why it is in such good condition and is so complete. The motor runs very good and it drives good. The carbs have been gone through and idle very nice. The tires are new and the handlebar control for the starter is new.The brakes work good. The side covers are like new and have no broken tabs. The seat has no tears or holes. The only bad thing on the bike is a dent in the muffler from a fall over but the bike does not show any major damage so it must have been on the kick stand or at low speed because the fairing is not broken. The fairing is the same vintage as the bike and was never painted. The lights all work and the bike can be test ridden. The bike has an origional luggage rack that is in good condition.I am selling this due to the fact that I bought a Spoprtster and do not need this.It is a vintage bike and would be an excellent one to restore.I bought it because I had one as a kid and loved it but do not need two bikes. I have a clear title in my name and can deliver for $1.00 per mile one way mileage within a reasonable radius or can meet you in between. There is also USHIP.com that ships these items very reasonable and I am willing to give up to two weeks for them to pick up.The USHIP works like a reverse auction where the shippers try to under bid each other for your business. You list the item on their site like you do on E-Bay and when a bidder has reached the lowest price you decide whether you want to ship at that price and then when the shipper gets enough items coming this way to make it worth his while he will call you and set up a time.I have not used it myself but a man that bought my transmission did and the man who picked up the item was very helpful and courteous. This is just another option for shipping large items.Check it out.
