This auction is a Relist ... a VERY NICE EBAY BUYER ended our auction Dec 7 th with a $ 8500 bid ( The RESERVE we had on car ) She emailed us right after she bought Ranchero telling us that she thought she was buying a 1958 Ranchero for her husband ... I had a flight out to the Orlando PRI trade show that same morning .... so Dec 17th is the 1st chance I have had to RELIST ... We had approx 1700 page views and over 70 Ebay'ers watching auction ...17 that were bidding last auction . We then RELISTED just in time for Christmas ! For bidders that do not want to wait we have a $ 12,500 buy it now .... Reserve for 2nd auction was low 68% of the buy it now price ( reserve is actually the $$$ amoumt we have invested in restoration of this car )......This auction ended Dec 27th with a high bid of $ 8449...only $ 51 below our reserve .... Classic 1964 Ford Ranchero Factory V8 ! What a GREAT HOT AUGUST NIGHTS CRUZER ! This is the one you have been waiting for ... LOW MILES ... ( approx 62,213 total miles ) ( * ) From an estate sale ... Inside storage last 14 years ! ( * ) ( * ) We purchased this CLASSIC RANCHERO from a California Highway Patrolman that purchased car to restore from an estate sale from original owners daughter . All the information we have for this car came from the seller ( Ca. Highway Patrol Officer ) who did approximately 50% of the restoration on the Ranchero. We have owned this car about 12 months and have added another 50% to the restoration . We currently have $ 8500 invested in this Ranchero. We have done several 1964 Ford Rancheros and this car is WITHOUT DOUBT the BEST RANCHERO we have ever done ! From every angle .... This CLASSIC Ranchero turms heads ! It looks like the day it rolled off the assembly line ... With under 63,000 original miles it is definately the Ranchero you want to buy and keep ! Every where we drive this Ranchero it attracts attention from 18 to 80 years old the comments are always the same .................Where did you find such a clean Ranchero and how much is it ? We missed completion of Ranchero for Hot August nights by two weeks ... A similiar Ranchero sold at Hot August nights Silver State Auction for $ 9500 that needed Interior , Paint and PLUS had a six cylinder motor ! Rancheros are definately in a class by themselves ............Harder to find than Chevelles , Camaros , Novas or 55 Chevys ! Ford only produced a handfull of these sweet classic Ranchero's with factory V8s .... thus they are so rare and definately a COLLECTABLE CLASSIC that will be worth more every year ! Everyone does a Chevelle ...a Camaro or even an El Camino ! Rancheros have their own EXCITEMENT ! I am 64 years old and my best friend Dennis is 66 years old ... Together we restore 1-2 CLASSIC CARS a year ! Dennis purchased a near identical Ranchero BRAND NEW back in 1964 ... Same color ... same factory 260 cubic inch V8 motor ! Both of us have been involved in Professional Auto Racing and street rods our entire lives ... Dennis still has TWO Romeo Palemedis 300+ MPH Jet Cars in his shop ... I have Vintage Nascar Cup Cars in my shop ... Much of the work was done in our Nascar Fabrication shop .... With only 62,213 original miles this RANCHERO is definately a KEEPER ! Title (pink slip) is 100% clear (California Title) and ready to transfer ... We will assist loading of car in event you want to trailer home ... Payment must be negotiated before delivery is made .... this means that ANY CHECKS ( Cashiers or Personal ) must be cash-able at bank during a BANKING BUSINESS day. Transportation home ( to buyers home ) is 100% at buyers expense . New Bumpers FRONT AND REAR NOTE ... Originals were not damaged ... however when we saw how nice Ranchero looked with NEW PAINT we decided to buy NEW BUMPERS ...New Outside Mirrors and New Front turn signals ... This Ranchero shows no signs of ever being in an accident ... The bed is very clean ( not dented from hauling "stuff" ...Previous owner did a roll in BED LINER ( in black ) that needs some cleanup as it was probably done many years ago ... We purchased a bed liner mat from Summit that allows you to place parts in bed without scratching bed or having parts move around while driving. Bed is large enough to carry a Harley Sportster (I measured my neighbors Sportster and it fits diagonally w/gate closed !) New CHROME RIMS ( ZERO MILES ) and RADIAL TIRES ( ZERO MILES ! ) NOTE ... We have the stock rims and tires that come with car .... Polar Bear White Paint ( new August 2010 ) with touch of Blue Pearl for contrast Ranchero was ORIGINALLY WHITE .... We never got the original air cleaner however this is a Genuine FORD Chrome air cleaner ! Check out the pristine condition of engine ... We pulled the intake manifold to verify the LOW MILEAGE on the Odometer ... Like the old addage ... The inside of this 1964 Ford (original motor) was CLEAN ENOUGH to eat off of ! The motor looks like a showroom new motor ... Sounds like it did back in 1964 ! Transmission is original Ford Automatic ... Rear end is original Ford 8" that was common on all V8 Mustangs and Fairlanes and the original for V8 Rancheros (drop out 3rd member like a 9" Ford ) Bolt pattern front and rear is stock Ford 5 lug so ANY Ford wheels will fit. We were going to put 5 spoke American Torque Thrust Mags on Ranchero however the Chrome Rims look "PERIOD CORRECT" If the buyer of this car wants any other wheels installed we will offer them at our wholesale cost and install free (no labor) Summit Racing warehouse is here in Reno so a wheel change would be simple and be done in 1 day. New Battery / New Battery box / New Radiator and hoses / New shocks and Front control arms - Bushings ... New brakes / New Fuel pump / New heater core / New Master Cylinder / New fuel sender ... The list of new parts is almost endless ! NEW HEADLINER ... and interior ...NEVER SMOKED IN ! NEW DOOR PANELS ... Seat upholstery ... New Carpets ...New padded Dash Note ... Both door panel "armrests" are NEW ...We ordered and rec'd a set of armrests however we rec'd 2 driver side armrests (TWICE) and had to exchange with vendor. Picture was taken day before correct passenger side armrest arriived .. Both armrests are now installed on car ! I have 2 Classic old Corvettes including a 1964 Fuelie ... When we finished this Ranchero and drove it for the 1st time it TURNED more heads than either of my old Corvettes ! Everywhere we went ... everyone fell in love with this CLASSIC RANCHERO ! This is the Ranchero EVERYONE says they would never sell ... It is A KEEPER ! Note ... Red reflection on instrument panel is from red shirt I was wearing when I took pictures ... This car is a definate KEEPER ! The best part of this auction ? In the GLOVEBOX is the ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL ....HOW COOL ! We almost forgot ... BELOW is the BEST PART ! Look how CLEAN the BED and the TAILGATE are ! We have owned and restored several Rancheros and this Ranchero has the CLEANEST bed and tailgate we have ever seen. The previous owner ( The Highway Patrol Officer ) had done a PAINTED IN bed liner in a non gloss black / semi marble finish. There is an area approx 2 sq ft where he must not have applied primer ? As soon as we have a "warm day" we will re-paint this section in rear of bed . Anyhow ...we purchased a BED MAT from Summit Racing and the bed mat is visable in below photo. It is (heavy material) approx 3/8" thick and PERFECT to keep items from sliding around in bed. The bed mat ( is brand new ) and has a small "roll" on the back edge from where it was shipped "ROLLED UP" in a box from Summit ... The mat will LAY DOWN 100% flat as soon as the sun warms it up... ( it is 18 degrees above here today when this photo was taken ! ) The bed and tailgate are exceptionally flat / smooth and look like this Ranchero has only hauled groceries and possibly a lawn-mower or bicycle in the bed , likewise the back side of CAB is in pristine condition ...A TRUE RARE FIND !
