1998 GMC Safari SLX Minivan. VIN #1GKDM19W9WB536286. Built in April, 1998. Current Mileage is 106,661. This van is white with a blue vinyl interior. It is equipped with power door locks, air conditioning, rear heat and A/C, an AM/FM Stereo and passenger side running boards. This van was used in the fleet of a national school transportation company and was fleet maintained. It was last inspected in Connecticut in September, 2010. This van has Goodyear Wrangler LT215/75R15 tires in very good to excellent condition. The van starts right up and runs well. There was a check engine light that was on (it showed an error from the oxygen sensor circuit) but I reset that and it did not come back on again during my evaluation. There are no major rips or tears in the seats. The headliner is good and doesn’t sag. The side reflector is missing from the driver’s side door trim. The power door locks don’t all seem to work, there is some sticking it appears. The van is mostly rust free. There is some very minor rust at the bottom of the driver’s door. Since the vehicle is not registered, I could not operate it on a public road. It was driven around the bus yard and drove well at low speeds. The brakes and steering feel good and the transmission appears to shift in and out of gear as it should. The parking brake works. The sign may or may not be removed prior to the time of sale, depending on the needs of the school bus company. This vehicle would be available for pick-up in Stratford, Connecticut. The title will be released to the winning bidder once full payment is received and then the vehicle can be picked up during the normal business hours of the school bus company (pick-up might not be available on weekends or during school vacations or holidays). Advance notice of pick-up is required to make sure that the vehicle is not snowed in. There is no reserve on this auction and the highest price will own it.
