I'm selling my 1965 mustang coupe with a straight 6. I had the tranny rebuilt last year and put 3k on it. I pulled the engine and had that fully rebuilt from top to bottom. I was having some problems with the carb so I bought a brand new holly and got it running, but not at 100%. I could drive it up and down the street but the power wasn't all there. The vents on the hood was letting water get into the fire wall, so I covered them so that the rust couldn't eat the fire wall. It has a few dents on the right back fender and the front left fender that I haven't fixed. It sat outside in the rain when the engine was getting rebuilt, so the roof had some rust on it that I had to grind off. The cluster for the gauges had a bad gas gauge, but I might have one in a box of parts that's new along with a new cluster (I will check, and update this listing to let you know). The seats are new foam and have pony covers in great shape. back seat is also in great shape. There is no head liner on the car but I have a brand new one in a box, it's "black" for a 65 mustang coupe. everything inside the engine is less than a year old as far as parts go. Brand new parts include: Holly 1b carb, gas tank, electronic ignition, spark plugs, wires, battery distributor, and a new muffler. The thing that needs the most work is where the hood and vents meet under the hood. Water that was going inside and coming out under the gas pedal did some good damage, so I covered it with bondo so the water would just fall off on the sides of the fire wall away from any wires. I think you could be able to weld a thin piece of sheet metal over it to make it look good. This car will need some work. The back tail lights I put in myself, because the mustang didn't come with back up lights. However, when we loaded it onto a car dolly, we busted out the back right one. I got them from Osh Hardware for 15$, so they are very easy to replace. I bought the car for 2k and put about 5k more into it. the tranny cost $750 form a place called lukes transmission in Riverside. the engine cost $2200 to rebuild from Naps Auto Parts. I don't think I have the papers to show for it. I lost a lot of stuff in our last move. But the engine still has the tags on it.The tranny works perfect and shifts great.
