Here we have is 1966 F-100 2 -tone Blue/White ***Ranger*** Long Bed with the *** CORRECT *** Bucket Seat Interior/Console as well the cover that goes over the gas tank with all the correct mounting hardware that is associated with the RangerPackage... History of Truck: This is a Nevada Truck which still has the parking permit from the Hoover Dam where the owner worked Specs: 352 V-8 with Eldebrock 4 barrell intake/carb, 4 Speed Granny Gear Transmission, Ranger Package Interior, Custom Cab, Built in Tool Box, Aluminum Grill/Side Molding, add on A/C, Roof Lights, add on Back up lights This is what I have done to get it road worthy is rebuilt the Steering Column with new upper/lower bearings, new turn signal switch, steering coupler which all of that was in bad shape, new park lens, got all the lights to work, Put 1 new Outside Mirror on Driver's Side and will include 1 new Outside Mirror for the pass. side as well,,, Replaced the Sending Unit for the fuel gauge. I have pressure washed this whole truck to be sure no Major Cancer was found. The Good: Very Solid Truck in all as you can tell in the pics of the area as in the bed, roof, inside door pillars, cab mounts, inner/outer cab corners etc... Doors Open and Close very easy etc.. Sanded the bottom of the tailgate to be sure no cancer in that, as far as I can tell it still is painted original colors blue/white except for the tailgate But as in the pics it looks like it had some tpye of bed cover as where the holes where all filled in, Rear Tires are new, Fronts are OK, Had to replace all 4 valve stems since they where very dry rotted ... The Bad: It has a 67/72 Tailgate which IS NOT CORRECT For the 64/66 Trucks, On Driver's side front ofthe bed a small hole was cut on the flat part of the bed for unknow reason??, The Edelbrock Carb. needs to be adjusted or replaced since it seems to be using more gas than I think it should,, Speedometer does not work, It has 2 speed Wipers, but the switch is broke which if I find another one will replace that, Found very little rust just starting on the core support after pressure washing it that can be easily fixed with still being on the truck so thats the minor fix. I personally will not even look at a truck that has a spray in bed liner or any kind of bed liner in it, it was put in there for a reason, Or trucks I see with a Mat but no pictures under that mat , most likely afraid to show whats under that mat, Trucks with closed doors, Must beafraid the door is going to fall off its hinges,, Trucks with Roof Cancer like WOW and person wants big money for the truck, C'mon let that person find out what it cost's to replace the roof, and if it has cancer in the roof well its going beyond that,, This is not pointing to any particular one truck on here in the past or present But please E-Bayer's that are buyers do the leg work on the truck you are looking at, ask many ?'s even if it takes several phone calls and if you buy that dream truck and turns out to be a nightmare, Most likely there is a lot of parts whether it be Ford/Chevy/Dodge to fix it.
