Vehicle Detail
1987 Buick Regal Grand National. Mechanically very sound. Mostly a stock, unmolested T-top, posi-traction (G80 optioned car) . Needs some light rust repair and passenger rear floorboard repair. Bumper fillers are missing. Its is very straight and all body panels look to line up perfectly. Looks to be the original paint with clearcoat peeling.. This car needs cosmetic mostly. Almost everything works great.. Motor is crisp, turbo spools nicely, transmissions shifts perfectly, doesnt overheat, smoke, or stutter in any way. Air cionditioning works, power locks, power windows etc. T-tops leak a small amount and needs repair and gaskets as well (see photos).. I purchased this vehicle to restore and like most everyone else dont have time so I have purchased a finished GN. This car is perfect for a bodyman looking for a solid foundation for a very nice Grand National at a fraction of their going prices. I have invested a good bit of money to make this car roadworthy and it is. Mechaniocally it is a great running stock GN. New: Walbro 340lph fuel pump, heater core, plugs, wires, ignition coil, fuel pressure regulator, and alternator. The car runs down the road straight, doesnt shimmy or shake. I have driven it with Weld wheels and new tires and it ran perfectly at 70-80 mph down the highway weekly. I am selling the car with the ORIGINAL Grand National Wheels which have 4 matching center caps. The Weld wheels have been placed on my recently purchased GN. I have included pictures of the worst of the worst of the car but you can basically throw bumper fillers and seat covers on this car and have a very presentable GN for very liitle money right away. Or strip it down and restore the vehicle in its entirety. I would not hesitate to take a 3-400 mile trip in the car it runs and drives terrific. I am a muscle car collector so the car has been garage kept while in my possession up until about 4 days ago when my other GN arrived. The odometer is stuck at the current mileage and the speedo gear inside rubs on and off making a rrrr sound. Other than that I drove the car to work weekly and planned on making improvements to it and using it as a running, driving project. I have the original radio, finance papers from date of purchase, and also included a picture of the trunk sticker to prove how highly optioned this car was. It also came with the concert audio package which is on the door speakers in lettering. I took pictures with aftermarket wheels to give you an idea of how it would look but please remember the car comes with original (more desirable) Grand national wheels and center caps.
