Vehicle Detail
1955 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Catalina for sale by owner. RARE 2 door hardtop. Factory V8 4 speed 4 barrel motor with only 50K on it. 325 gear rear end. Factory power steering and factory power brakes. Motor runs and very little is needed to drive this classic to the next classic car show-simply needs the gas tank (included) installed. EXTERIOR: Nice, straight, solid body with no rust. Have all chrome and even extra pieces. Have front windshield and rear glass which only needs to be installed. Needs flat glass for doors. Bumpers straight. All chrome straight. INTERIOR: Underseat heater. Dash has been taken apart, professionally painted and put back together. Floor pans good. No rust. Floor painted. Have rear seat frame. Needs front seats. PAINT: The following has been professionally painted: dash, floor, frame and suspension, firewalls, motor, transmission and trunk. Have the paint to finish the car which is included. I would call the paint color metallic rose but it's probably somewhere between a rose and burgundy but not as dark as burgundy (see pics). It's really a stunning color and this classic would look gorgeous with the exterior painted in the metallic rose/burgundy. We have enough fresh paint for the exterior of the car which is included with the purchase, however, if you're shipping the car please check to make sure that the paint can be shipped. The guys wanted to paint her the metallic rose and black but if I kept her I was going to paint her the metallic rose and an off white-whatever paint color you choose you will look great cruising around town in this rare classic. TITLE: In hand clear title. Great start to a great project car. With a little effort you could resell this classic and make a lot or keep and be ready for the next classic car show. It pains me to sell this car because I think it looks great now and know with minimal effort it's going to be a stunning classic that I would love to cruise around town in and take to classic car shows. Unfortunately, I just don't know how to do any work on cars and don't have any money to invest and need the money for my business. I got the car from a client who was unable to pay his fee so I took the car in exchange for work. I really wanted to keep the car but just can't. I have spent hours upon hours researching this car and assure you that you won't find a 55 Pontiac Starchief Custom Catalina project car in this condition that actually runs and has all the chrome and even extra chrome pieces for sale anywhere in the country. I came across two of these cars that were project cars and complete rust buckets that needed complete restoration. The 2 door hardtop is just very rare and you just can't find one in this condition anywhere. It is very difficult for me to sell but just don't have a choice right now. This car has been garage kept with other classics. It was difficult for me to get pictures because it's surrounded by other cars, however, if there is anything that you would like a picture of please feel free to email me or to call me and I will get you pics of whatever you would like. The email to contact me at is lexashade@yahoo.com or you can call me at 828-779-0699. I will be happy to answer any questions you have about the car as well. FOB Fairview, NC. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. Good luck and happy bidding. If you're the lucky winning bid I assure you that you will be very pleased with the condition of this car. I would love to keep in contact with the purchaser so I can see pictures of this beauty when she's fully restored. VIN: I will edit this posting and include the VIN or call or email me and I will provide you with the VIN. The title is locked in my fiances safe and can't get to it until tomorrow.
