This is a very rare 1961 Chevrolet Corvair 95 Rampside Pickup Truck that was restored several years ago and has only been driven 71 miles in the last 5 years. The engine is the original air cooled 6 cylinder engine with it's original 3-speed manual transmission. The engine was rebuilt at restoration along with the dual carburetors. This unusual truck runs well and shifts smoothly. The tires are B.F. Goodrich 750-14 inch 4 ply nylon whitewalls and they are in like new condition. The hubcaps are exceptional and appear to be reproduciton hubcaps. I have the original hubcaps that come with the truck and they are in nice condition with exception to a few scratches in one of them. I also have an original 1960 Corvair Shop Manual that will be included with the truck. The body on these pickup's were known to rust and that is why there are not many of them left along with the fact that not many of them were produced to begin with. The ones that have survived are in poor condition. This particular Rampside is in good solid condition. There are some areas along the bottom of this truck where the paint is starting to bubble over previously repaired areas and I would address those areas if I were to keep the truck only because the rest of it is so nice. The edge of the fenders over the wheel wells are in exceptional shape and the metal in the bed is in nice unrusted original condition. All the chrome and stainless trim were redone when the truck was restored and the glass is excellent. The interior is in wonderful condition and the pictures speak for themselves. There are no tears or fading on the upholstery or the carpeting and the paint on the inside of the doors and dash is really nice. There have been a lot of articles written in the past couple years about these Corvair Rampside Pickup's and they have become highly collectable.
