DESCRIPTION:

Our 1996 Mercedes E300D has the 210 Body and the 6 Cylinder, 3.0L Diesel engine. The car would be a great parts car for the body and most of the interior pieces. The engine itself has some problems, not all of which have been diagnosed. We started a list of problems with the engine for the owner of the car and the list grew along with the cost to repair it, so the owner traded it in. The engine has been partially disassembled, but the known engine problems are: It smoked really bad, the head has excessive carbon build-up, injectors 1-3 do not spray all the time, the starter motor is dragging, and the fuel pump is bad. The estimate for us to fix/replace/repair the broken items exceeds the value of the vehicle. If you have the tools, time and skills to repar the engine this E300D would be a great daily commuter vehicle. Otherwise, it will make a great parts car.
