Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE!! This is a true all original (RM) Road Runner 2 door post. It is a beautiful rare Rally Green with factory black Performance hood striping. It is a matching number freshly rebuilt 383 Commando with 335HP and has less than 2000 miles on the rebuilt engine. It also has the original matching number torqueflite 727 tranny with 323 sure grip positraction rear end. The car has been garage kept except for shows, rallies and cruise ins. The restoration is right at four years old and everything needed replacing was replaced and restored to new condition. This car has 15 inch Chrome Magnum 500 wheels and new raised white letter tires. This car has been appraised by several mopar experts and has been rated between 95 and 96 on a 101 point scale with 101 being a perfect rotisserie restoration and the NADA average retail is around 25,000 and clean is over 40,000. This car is solid in every aspect with only a few little things needed to get it back to near perfect, but I just do not have the time or money at the moment to fix the little things. I have purchased a new gas sending unit so the gas gauge will work and I noticed it needs a brake light and under the hood a tiny little chip has just occurred while at Rod Run, but it only needs a little touch up paint to fix that insignificant chip. It has manual brakes and steering. The brakes has new lines and works as well as can be expected for manual braking it may need a new spring under the brake pedal in the not too distant future but that is nothing. The car is a great driving car. It has has fresh dual exhaust with chrome exhaust tips and is also very nice under the hood. It is a quality show car and daily driver that will make you a fan favorite at the local car shows and cruise ins. It is a basic bench seat Road Runner radio and air conditioning delete and was as feared as the bigger 440 at the strip because of its lighter weight. The original carburetor has been recently rebuilt and is in excellent condition. The carburetor manual cable choke linkage bracket got broke putting it back on but that is really it. The interior is also new as well. I have owned it for five year and finished the restoration of the interior and exterior. The mileage showing is 14,700 but I cannot confirm that this is the true mileage. This is one clean Mopar! The car runs & drives excellent and has a very straight body and you gotta love the beep beep horn. If you are looking for a great classic Mopar to take to your local shows and cruise in or ad to your collection then THIS IS THE CAR FOR YOU!!! Feel free to call 256-347-3341 if you have any questions. Vehicle is for sale as-is, where-is. I can deliver vehicle for a reasonable fee if requested, it is located near Chattanooga, TN. It is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. Thank you fo looking and good luck!
