Vehicle Detail

Excellent example of the early F650's, the trouble free carburated version of the Rotax powered single cylinder BMW, arguably one of the most reliable motorcycle engines ever developed. Of course if you want one now they are no longer built in Austria, seems that labor costs are much cheaper in China....oh well. I can't speak for the new source that BMW is using for their engines, but I can assure you that the Austrian Rotax will run 80 MPH for as long as you care to ride the bike. I've done numerous 500 mile days on this bike and it is astounding how well these single cylinder 650's run. This bike has less than 13,700 miles and I believe I am the third owner. I am a long time BMW rider and the bike has been well cared for before it came to me and since. It has dual sport tires with less than 1K miles, a Clearview windscreen with Laminar Lip on top, a tank bag, Happy Trails pannier racks, and a BMW tail rack with a BMW topbox. I installed a new battery two weeks ago. The chain and sprockets are in great condition and the bike is ready to be ridden anywhere. The Pelican cases for the Happy Trails racks can be bought for an additional $250 if needed, they are less than 3 months old. (I use them on another bike but if you need them to get home I will buy more) I forgot to mention that the bike also has a Staintune exhaust and I have the kit to rejet the carb to match the new exhaust but have not yet installed it. I will deliver the bike as far as the Las Vegas airport for a buyer wanting to fly in and ride home. I will need a $500 paypal deposit immediately upon winning the auction and cash upon delivery. I have the title in hand, and a plate on the bike. It is ready to ride away. You must have a paypal account to bid, it's my only chance of keeping flakes and scammer's away from my auction. At least with a paypal account I have some confidence that your bank and paypal agree as to who you are. Oh, and don't bother having your london based barrister or african minister of the treasury contact me about any special deals. And of course if you are a zero feedback bidder you need to send a message and convince me that you are legitimate and sincerely interested in completing the deal if you win. I don't mean to sound like a hard case, but this is not my first Christmas. Good luck bidding. On Dec-06-10 at 06:06:20 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that I had the shock rebuilt last summer by Sasquatch....cost a bundle but the rear shock is now better than new. He did the full meal deal, total rebuild, and new spring. On Dec-09-10 at 16:43:50 PST, seller added the following information: In the interest of full disclosure, I just had an expert look at the bike and he identified that the chain has a "hard spot" in it. Which is to say as you rotate the rear wheel you can feel a spot on the chain where the lube in the O Ring has obviously gone tango uniform. I just checked on Ebay and O Ring chains are available for about $50. I think it is still a fly in and ride home bike but the chain will have to be lubed....which is typically not necessary on an O Ring chain. He didn't find anything else that offended him during his inspection and test ride.
