1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1!!! VIN# 0T05M131xxx 1970 FORD MUSTANG 351 MACH 1 PROJECT from MustangBeginnings Up for auction is a Project 1970 “M” Code 351 4bbl. Med Bright Blue Metallic Mustang Mach 1 This Mach 1 was made to break the sound barrier. With its 4 speed manual transmission, and optional 3.50 deep axle ratio and traction lock differential, plus its 4 bbl 351 Cleveland engine, it will burn rubber all the way down the block when properly restored. This Mach would make an easy project car, which would be worth at least $50,000 to $60,000 when fully restored. With a Black Clarion Knit /Corinthian vinyl interior and Black Hood Stripe, this Mach 1 will be a Mustang that will not only look great, but will light up without hesitation. A 1970 4bbl 351 Cleveland and FMX transmission are included with the car. They will both need to be rebuilt. If you are interested in installing a manual transmission like the original toploader or a more modern T5 transmission with overdrive let us know, we might be able to help you find one. We thought maybe someone would like to do the restoration work themselves, and save some money. If the car does not sell now, we will begin restoration as soon as the auction ends, and the price will be much higher when we are finished. The Mach 1 has its original 9” (3.50 Ratio, traction-lok) rear end. It originally came with a Deluxe Interior which is not currently present, but will be included to the winning bidder (seats & lower dash). BODY: This Mach 1 is in surprisingly good condition. It will need a little rust repair in the rear section of the floorpans, lower quarters, and some patching in the trunk floor. Otherwise the frame rails are strong, as is the torque boxes and the correct 4 groove section of the floorpans. Doors and fenders are in good condition - they need a little work but are definitely useable. Overall not that much is needed to bring this Mach 1 into driving condition. ENGINE BAY: Engine bay is in great condition, and just needs to be cleaned and painted. BRAKE SYSTEM: The Mach 1 has its original drum brakes, both front and back. They are intact and complete. STEERING: We will include the steering column, box, and center link with this car to the winning bidder. GLASS: Windshield is good and door glass and the 1/4 side glass are all there, but there are a couple of scratches that can be buffed out. MISC. This Mustang was built on October 1, 1969 at the Metuchen Assembly Plant. Mustangs were popular then and they still are today. The Mustang comes with most all of its parts, which really makes restoration that much easier. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need.
