Disassembled 1959 MGA 1600 MKI Coupe last registered New York July 1989. New York is not a title state for earlier than 1982 cars, I have the document for registration plus a bill of sale. The car was purchased as a parts car that had restoration to the main body but not the fenders. The engine was rebuilt and resleeved to stock at that time. Car was used for vintage racing in the early 1990s until the need for more speed took over and a new coupe racer was constructed. It has not been hit in the front or side either on the road or the track. The rear has a dent as seen in the photo from my moving the car around. The bonnet is clean and the trunk lid is a replacement. The doors are clean and all the parts for the driver's side are in the box. The rear glass is also in the box along with a new rubber gasket and the original two piece chrome finishing strip. The color is Dove Gray but the photos are off as my camera tried to correct for the sun. The coupe is on a "shop" frame that needs repair to the front uprights. It is a roller with the wire wheel rear axle and the front has 1500 drum brake disc wheels. A second stripped and painted frame, that was set up for racing with reenforcing panels on the outside frame rails, is included. It does not have the racing hoops installed as this was the backup frame. Both frames go with the car. There are two cut and bent pieces in the interior body by the rear wheel arch where the hoop was to be installed. Only one front 1600 disc brake wire wheel hub and caliper is with the car. New floor boards and wiring harness is included. The original correct coupe seats are faded but not torn up. The soft interior parts like the door panels and headliner will need to be replaced. The engine turns over but has not been run in over 10 years. Same for the transmission. The carburettors will need to be rebuilt, the intake and exhaust manifolds are in good condition. It will need a new distributor. The master cylinder, starter and generator are good cores. I have many other parts from my vintage racing setup which are included such as extra roadster fenders and doors, gauges and small parts in boxes. This is a local pick up only as I have no way to box and ship. You will need a trailer and a pickup. Some help is available in shipping up to 150 miles from the Albany, NY area.
