1985Fiat/Pininfarina 124 Spider!!! Here is a gorgeous 1985 Fiat/Pininarina 124 spider that is in excellent condition!! This beautiful car was owned by a local Fiat collector that put lots of time and money into this car. This is a very nice car and the only AUTOMATIC transmission 124 I have ever seen!!! This car looks gorgeous from its beautiful paint, its hand selected interior to its nice bright work. You would think that an Automatic transmission would slow the fiat down to a snails pace, but this car gets up and goes!!! This car was undoubtedly the previous owners labor of love and it absolutely shows . The car drives even better than it looks. Its previous owner did a wonderful job sorting out all of the squeaks and rattles, this car drives beautifully. The chassis and bottom side of the car are free of rust. This is a car that you could log hundreds of miles in in an day and enjoy every minute of it. These Fiats are great modes of transportation and were ahead of there time when new, from the twin cam 4 cylinder engine to the uni-body construction. This FIAT 124 is a great collector's item as it is an extremely rare automatic transmission car and 1985 was the last year of this great little car. This little Italian spider is surely to appreciate in value over the years. Click to enlarge Exterior: The Classic Italian red paint on this classic is in great condition and has been hand rubbed to a beautiful mirror like finish and looks stunning on the Pininfarina styled body. This car has that "crisp" look to it due to the beautiful paint and gorgeous chrome accents. All of the door, hood and trunk gaps line up great. The doors open and shut with ease. The paint job was done several years ago and the car has been driven so there are some minor stone chips etc that come from enjoying the car as well as some minor imperfections in the paint on the passenger side of the car. As you can see from the photos, it does look gorgeous regardless of the minor imperfections. The cars CANVAS convertible top was installed a few years ago but is still in very good shape showing very little wear. Overall this is an excellent looking 124 that gets lots of attention when cruising down the road!!! Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful tan interior is in very nice shape. The seats have just been reupholstered and feature a gorgeous pleated pattern down the center of the seats and are very comfortable since they were rebuilt with new foam. The seats were then stitched in red to help add a little color to the inside of the car. These kinds of details really make this car standout!!! The dashboard is in very nice shape and looks gorgeous with its beautiful wood panels. The interior of these Fiats is a very pleasant place to spend time in. I absolutely love the chrome accents that adorn the door panels as well as the heater controls mounted in between the two bucket seats. The carpet is in very nice shape complete with matching Pininfarina floor mats. All of the gauges work and look great. The stereo in this car does work and is a modern stereo. The interior of this car looks excellent. Click to enlarge Engine: This classic 1985 FIAT 124 features a twin cam 2000cc engine that runs great! The car starts right up and runs like a top without blowing any smoke!!! The engine runs beautifully without skipping a beat and emits that classic Italian sports car sound. The engine was rebuilt about 1500 miles ago or so. This 124 exhales through a great sounding ANSA exhaust system that has recently been added. The front suspension on this car has been gone through and rebuilt. The suspension and steering is very tight and feels great going down the freeway or carving corners. The automatic transmission is very rare and does shift through the gears as it should. This is a very smooth driving car that drives beautifully, a testament to the love and time put into this lovely car. The car is outfitted with A/C and should just need a charge to get it to work. (It blows cold now but its also kind of cold outside so its hard to tell if it needs a charge or not) Overall, this is a great driving Fiat 124.
