Vehicle Detail

You are viewing my auction for my 1980 Porsche 911 SC EURO. PCA member owned currently and for the last 15 years. This is a VERY RARE 911. Imported from Austria into the US in 1986. Original tax documentation in the glove box. I am only the second owner in the last 15 years. I bought it from a gentleman that believe it or not used this car as his daily driver for the entire time he owned it. An interesting prospect considering Western PA's winters...Was current on it's Pennsylvania Annual Inspection and Emissions when I purchased it. You can tell it's a Euro as soon as you see the distinctive plaid cloth inserts on the brown vinyl seats and the headlights. Interior is in good overall shape but there is some seam seperation on the driver and passenger seat between the cloth and the vinyl. Easily repaired. The dash is in good shape with only three cracks. The headliner and rear interior is in very good shape as are the interior carpet and door panels. The lack of sunroof and AC along with the higher horse power European version of the 3.0 liter engine makes this a great candidate for a track car. It has 128,000 well maintained miles. Pop off valve is installed. Clutch was replaced at 90k. Runs and drives and brakes great. Still extremely quick and handles likes it's on rails with that sound only a oil cooled 911 makes. Clutch feels good and it shifts thru all gears without issue. You can even downshift into first while you are still rolling. All gauges including the clock work. Limited options, does have power windows that work well as well as a power driver mirror, which works as well. Comes with a nice set of Fuchs painted black with matching ZR rated tires front and rear. Factory whale tail is in good shape as is all the glass. Has stainless heat exchangers, one is installed the other has not been replaced yet but will come with the car. Also includes two new heater boxes. Starts up each time with a turn of the key, a little cold blooded when first started, but give it a minute to warm up and you're good to go. Typical of every 911 I've owned (and I have owned close to 30), this one leaks a little oil. I'm talking a drop or two on the garage floor. It does not smoke, and there are no funny noises or smells. Includes both the German and English owners manual as well as the original key card. Kind of neat to see the service stamps from 1981 in German... I bought this car as a winter project, but have lost my garage space and don't want to wait till spring to work on the car. What does it need? Primarily paint and some body work. Mechanically the car is fine, but it has it's orignal 30 year old Mocca Brown paint that is weathered and has several surface rust spots including the passenger door jam. Floors are SOLID as is underside and trunk. Please see pictures. I would not hesitate to jump in this car and drive it anywhere. If you've been following prices of 911 SC's you know they've jumped through the roof. Excellence magazine the magazine for Porsche fanatics quotes ACTUAL selling prices and shows the SC has appreciated considerable. These cars are now worth upwards of $20,000 based on their buyers reports. This is your opportunity to buy a great driver. Restore it, drive it. convert it to a track car, your options are unlimited. LOW opening bid and NO RESERVE. It WILL sell to the highest bidder. Fly in and drive it home. TERMS: As this is a 30 year old vehicle, there are NO WARRANTIES either real or implied. I encourage you to come and view/drive the car prior to auctions end. $500 non refundable deposit via Paypal due within 24 hours of auctions end. Payment in full via guaranteed funds within 5 days of auctions end. Please keep in mind, your bid reflects a legally binding contract. PLEASE have all your funds in place prior to bidding. Your winning bid is NOT an opportunity to think about whether you want to buy the car or not. Finally, don't waste my time or yours with offers of $30,000 provided I send you $15000 back. Please email any and all questions. Buyer responsible for all costs associated with shipping the vehicle. I strongly recommend AGAPE Auto Transport. I've used them in the past and they are reasonable, professional and reliable. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. On Nov-27-10 at 06:21:03 PST, seller added the following information: If you have zero feedback, are new to eBay or have negative feedback, you MUST email me prior to bidding. Failure to do so will cause your bid to be cancelled. I do this to protect the integrity of my no reserve auctions. I have had prior auctions ruined by individuals who thought their bid gave them the right to "decide" if they wanted to buy the item. Your bid is a legally binding contract to purchase an item, not the option to think about it. Thanks!
