1969 BMW R-Series

This is an original 1969 BMW R60 US. The paint is ALL original. Several original stickers are still on the bike including on the rear fender and air filter container. The motor was gone thru this spring (including slingers cleaned) and the work done by Cycle Works in Shawnee, KS is shown in the invoice with the pictures. The bike runs great. The paint has some nicks and scratches (see pics) but for a 41 year old bike is in remarkable shape. There are absolutely no dents on the bike. There is a piece of fin broken off on the right valve cover (~ 1 inch) See pic. The grips are the original grips. Tool kit and original owners manual and Clymers come with the bike. The tranny is as smooth as butter. Splines have been lubed this spring when motor was apart. The speedo and odometer work perfect. This bike really is a time warp when BMW didn't use plastic for parts but metal fenders, etc. Tool kit is in the tank. Pump is in its proper place at right side of rear wheel. It works like new. This bike is as it appears. There are no surprises. Check my feedback. I have a 100% feedback rating. This bike was owned by one person for 40+ years here in Colorado with one year in Wyoming. The original owner had it for 40 years until his wife would not let him ride it anymore. I have the original wide bench seat in good condition but have fitted a new Pagusa seat from Blue Moon BMW as well as a non locking gas cap and period correct rear mirror. The inside of the tank is clean with the inside red original paint still completely showing. The bike also has a period correct locking gas cap that is a very high quality piece. Kinda funny to talk about a gas cap as being impressive, but this one is. All throttle, clutch and brake cables are new. I have owned over 30 BMW airheads over the years and this is as original as it gets. All lights and turn signals work properly. Thanks for looking.
