Vehicle Detail
First off, let me say "I Love This Bike"! We build a lot of Triumph customs here and I don't get too excited any more. This one is different. We tend to shy away a bit from 500's. On our end, parts are just as expensive as a 650 and our time invested is the same. If this was a 650 the reserve would be over 10k. This a 500 and the reserve is WAY lower! To the nuts and bolts of it. This a matching numbers 1970 T100C. Hardtail section is aprrox. 4" over. Front forks are rebuilt, new seals and seal holders, new gaiters and the whole thing is lowered 2". The 21" spool front wheel is brand new as well as the axle and the Avon Speedmaster tire. The rear wheel is a rebuilt Triumph hub with a new 16" rim and new spokes. The Shinko Speed Grip tire is also new. We don't usually do spool front wheels on our bikes so we made sure the rear brake worked as good as possible. Ferodo rear brakes (no Emgo junk!), stainless brake rod and a modified oil in frame 650 brake pedal make her stop fast and solid. The motor has a fresh top end, rebuilt cute little Mikuni carb and a new stock style air cleaner modified to fit the Mikuni. This bike is fitted with tons of new parts including: headlight, handle bars, vintage NOS metalflake red grips, throttle and cable, clutch lever and cable, headlight switch, brake light switch, ignition switch, plug wires, Boyer ignition, Tympanium regulator, custom made battery box, battery, vintage style tail light and custom made tail light bracket, Diamond drive chain, UK made TT pipes, shift lever, kick lever, all the peg rubbers, petcocks, gas cap, tank emblems, leather solo seat and springs. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things...Of course the wiring is new, all neat and tidy. The gas tank is the scarce 1973/4 Daytona tank without the center seam. Rear fender is a modified ribbed UK made fender. And now the best parts. The paint is super sparkley red flake. Pictures just can not capture how this looks! We took a few close up pics of the tins in different light to try to show the depth and movement of the flake. Tasteful pinstriping and a touch of gold leaf done by our hero, GW Ross. This bike runs great! Starts super easy with the choke on the Mikuni carb. The bike also rides great! I am over 6' tall, and even I can ride comfortably on this bike. Again, I love this bike. I would love to keep it around for the bike shows this winter, but this is a business and I can't get all weepy......Please email us any questions or call us at the shop 908-464-2288. I encourage any local interested parties to come by and check her out in person. Must really be seen in person to appreciate the flake job. Payment in the form of bank transfer, certified bank check or cash upon local pickup due within five days of auctions end. Buyer responsible for crating, shipping, arrangements and fees. We can assist any way we can. We are in an industrial area and are truck friendly. For our European friends, extremely reasonable shipping is available to Thamesport and Rotterdam. I have described this bike to the best of my ability, however, it is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. Please no zero feedback bidders, unless you call us or email your sincerity to follow through with the transaction, your bid will be cancelled.
