Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Wonderful example of fifties “big iron”……this model 56R is original and complete except for one missing interior window sill trim and usable door panels. The car shows no evidence of damage or repairs due to collision. I have cleaned out the interior and coated much of it with POR15. The only appreciable rust is in the rear floor of trunk and is easily fixed. Floors are solid, undercarriage solid, dash is complete and most window glass is good, especially for a car this age. The chrome has been redone and is absolutely beautiful as you can see in the photos. There is a crack in the chrome trim for the hood leading edge so it does need repair or replacing.The seat frames and springs were not protected when stored by a previous owner, so they need surface rust removed before covering. I purchased this car from a collector/dealer. He stated that he talked to the grandson of the original owner who said the mileage is correct at 38,702. As I look over the car, I believe that may be so. The man I bought the car from also drove it a short distance, but I have not tried to start it. I do have the title that shows the car was taken off of the road in early 1987. I had every intention of restoring this beauty myself, but my work load just does not allow it. I have the title, factory shop manual on disk, and some extra parts including fender skirts, windshield visor and memorabilia. More photos are available on request. Do not hesitate to contact me .
