’72 911 Porsche Targa, 2.4 litre European car, engine built to “S” specs, 56000mi.,Original rust-free floor pan, and body. This is a two owner car that has been a garage kept “toy” by the current owner for the last 25 years and has been covered by a collectable insurance policy. In the late ‘80’s, the car’s body was repainted, the original yellow, with changing every body gasket and every seal. The engine was completely rebuilt and balanced. The interior is all original with the exception of the stereo head unit and the Canton Pullman, German made , speaker box mounted on the rear deck. The door panels, and map pockets, are perfect.The seats are the original Recaro Sport Seats, and are the original vinyl and should be re-upholstered, at least the drivers side. The top of the dash also has a crack from age. The carpets are original, and should probably also be changed. The targa top is original OEM, but not originally from this car. The exterior surface and the headliner of the top are perfect. The car has a period correct, aftermarket whale tail, that really looks good on her, and although the body restoration is old, still looks really good. There are some chips under the bumper and behind the rear wheels, and some scratches on the right door. Also, the right rear side of the bumper by the fender well needs to be alligned from being tapped in the corner. At some point, the left front fender and door were replaced prior to the complete body restoration. The original Fuchs wheels, are 15x7 rear, and 15x6 front, and were restored about five years ago and are perfect. They are fitted with Yokahamas. She is super reliable and can sit for long periods of time and always starts right up! Whenever she is out, she always draws a lot of attention and is a real head turner!
