Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1968 HONDA CT90 in very original condition. It comes with a clear California title that can be transferred to you immediately. This bike was owned by my friend almost since new and it was hardly taken out of his farm in the high desert in Southern California. He used to get around the yard on it until it was parked 4 years ago. It was running perfectly like a Honda should until then. When I pulled it out of his shed it was dusty, but was complete. However, the engine is stuck and kicker is not turning it. I neither have the time to see what is wrong nor have a workshop manual or other literature to diagnose what is wrong. I did not force it either. All what I can think of is the engine oil has become viscous or dry due to the dry heat. The plug was dirty and was a bit brown. The tappet cover and the side cover was removed and they were clean inside. I don’t see signs of serious rust anywhere on the bike. All what it might need is some TLC like a new plug etc. to get it running again especially if you know what you are doing. This is sold as-is with no returns. What you see is what you get. It comes with one key as well. I will mention the most obvious shortcomings; remember you are buying 44 years old motorcycle. The muffler has a rust hole in it on the backside; the seat has a 2 inch long cut, the paint is faded in places but has a nice patina all over the bike. It appears to be complete in every way and I have not noticed any missing parts yet. I will let pictures do the talking. Please do not assume anything. Feel free to ask questions. The CT90 has become a cult bike in its own right having put many people on wheels around the globe. There is no shortage of spares anywhere. It is a must in any motorcycle collection. Honda Cub which is a derivative of this bike(or maybe it is vice versa) is the most sold vehicle on the planet. It’s not your Toyota Camry or Ford F-150!!! I bought it to use around swap meets and bike shows, but no longer have the space to store it. Please do not bid if you do not have the funds to pay for. Immediate payment of $200 must be remitted via Paypal or wire transfer within 24 hours of the auction end if you are the winning bidder. Balance should be paid within 7 days max. The bike will not leave my yard until full payment is received. Payment should be in certified funds or PayPal. Local pickup is preferred, but I do have a few shippers that can give very competitive prices in the west coast. I recommend Eagle shipping for nationwide shipping. I may be able to deliver in southern California for gas money if you are willing to wait for 2 or 3 weeks. I travel very often to LAX from Las Vegas. Good luck bidding.
