Here she is, my 1960 desoto 2 door hard top. this is a rare car, i have had it for 2 years i purchased from the origional owner in Seattle Wa. the car has huge potential it would make a cool show car. The car is mechanically in good condition it has the origional engine (383) and has been completly rebuilt. the bore is .40 over and the crank is .20 under. i have been idiling it in and out of the shop so it will need a tune up. the transmission does not leak any fluid and shifts excellent it also kicks down good. the steering box has a slow leak. the car has a lot of cool options: power steering, power breaks, criuse control, dual exaust, auto headlight dimmers, swivel seats. the car is 99% percent complete the only thing its missing is one of the chrome chevrons for the right tail light. i have 5 chevrons missing one. the seats swivel good but the padding and fabric are dried out. the car will need a lot of love but once you get her fixed up it will be one of the coolest around. The bad: the biggest problem the car has is rust. it has a lot of rust in the trunk. it has rusted out where the trunk seal sits at the back of the trunk also the trunk floor is rusted out on the back trunk floor. it has rust on the rear quarter pannels and surface rust on the rockers. there is a little rust above the head lights. the floor boards dont appear to be very bad the frame is solid it will just need a few patch sections and a trunk put in it. the wheel wells are solid as well. there is some rust on the roof but its surface rust not a major concern. the car will also need a windshield. if you want more pics or have questions please ask. i will sell to where ever and will work with you on shipping the car so that is not a problem. i wish i could keep it but i am moveing and dont have room.
