For sale is a stunning Alfa Romeo Spider Convertible. This car run fantastically. It has just had a paint job valued at $3800.00. It looks VERY beautiful. "A great example" says my mechanic. 1974 is considered perhaps the best year, except for the Duetto curved tale, because of its performance and its metal bumpers. This has been a reliable, daily driver for me. Wes Ingram, the main expert on SPICA fuel injection, has tuned this car. I have loved this car but need to purchase something more practical for living up here in the northwest. The new owner will get a car that runs really well and is ready to go. Mileage is 147,000. I have owned the car for 5 years and have kept it well maintained. It was treated very well by its prior owner, although I don't have records on it. It just runs really well...happiest at 85 mph. New oil pressure hose and oil change. Panasport wheels valued at $800 included, as is a custom car cover (not perfect). This is what you would call a 'no rust' car, although that doesn't really exist. There is probably some rust somewhere, but you won't know about it. The driver's side floorboard has just been replaced with sheet metal. Passenger side has been evaluated as fine. New: paint designed for the car seat covers new top (although I noticed today that the rear window is starting to wear in one spot...too bad!) new custom strip along side of body (to go with the new paint) no accidents that I know of too many new parts to list, but I will start with alternator, belts, cap and rotor...you name it! Tires are good! Roll bar is a bonus! Panasports are sweet! refinished real deal steering wheel shift boot shift knob emergency brake cover (will be black) interior door handle linkage Know that: This is a 1974 Alfa Romeo, so until it is completely restored (it is not, but it is partially restored), there will be little things to fix along the way. For example, the windshield wipers always work for me, but I have to jiggle the switch to get it to go. Same with the heater fan. On rare occasions it will stall when it comes to a stop...it's the SPICA fuel injection system. This may not happen at all for you...it's related to the air temperature, humidity, etc and I am in Washington state (I will go months without a stall). I want to be straight with you, buyers! This is an original car and is 'correct' for this year. Someone who loves Alfas will know and love this car. My mechanic friend thinks the clutch is okay, but I think it is starting to go. Typical 2nd gear synchro challenges, but I don't notice it now...no problem for me. It's a simple and solid Alfa convertible...a special car. Although it looks and drives fabulously, it is not priced at $10,000. I want it to go to a good home. This has been basically a trouble-free car, so bid away! Thanks, David
